  1. Not for anyone actually watching the games. We've seen what those guys look like with other, mortal QBs. Plus we already saw that in his first ever game. He did the same shit playing with our 3rd string.
  2. Yeah I think this comes down to the wire. Although nobody climbs out of a hole, even of his own creation, like Mahomes. Dude's blood is at absolute zero.
  3. I would put wiz at center. He played there for years. Fish Allegretti Wiz Hopefully rankin Yasir
  4. He's eligible to come off IR starting this week. That doesn't mean he will though.
  5. Seth killed it with that one. For non subscribers basically the end result analysis is it's not necessarily true kc is struggling in short yardage except the last 2 games. Otherwise the sample size is so small that that only 2 to 3 plays an outsized difference between the short yardage success percentage of KC and the other top offenses in the league. So it's possible we have a problem. Or it could be a short term statistical blip (we've had those before with this crew). But outside of the past 2 games our success rates have been really good compared to league averages in short yardage and inside the 10 yard line.
  6. Honestly 36 is on the low end of average as far as number of players contracted 1 year out. If you go through each team for 2021 most teams have somewhere in the 30's or 40's in terms of numbers of players under contract one year out. Then you have shittily managed teams like Houston with 52. If you want to see a team in trouble, hell Nawlins is 93m over the projected cap with 44 players under contract. Even this year, other than a few guys we'll lose in free agency most of the rest of the 53 is min contracts. The cap is only a problem if your GM makes it a problem. We've seen time and time again savvy GM's around the league skirt right around it. Well, I mean not in KC (until Veach) but you know, other teams in the past that had good GM's.
  7. Mecole does not have the body type to be an X receiver so I don't think we drafted him for that. He is a Y/Slot receiver who can do some but not nearly all of an X's job. Watkins was already a pro with years of experience before he got in our system so not an apt comparison to me. His routes have objectively improved in year 2. Note I did not say he's where he needs to be yo maximize effectiveness in our system, only that it is an observable fact that his routes have improved from last year. But yes, he does still fuck up too much.
  8. Owners put off the salary cap accounting for next year, which would normally be done this week, for a month. They want to work on the new TV contracts I believe. When the new TV contracts kick in they may do very well.
  9. If they're signing vet min deals, especially with the vet exceptions, they'd just be replacing other salaries already counting in the top 53. Cap impact would typically be minimal.
  10. Plus there are going to be a shit ton of vets looking for cheap one year deals this offseason if the cap goes to 175m next year.
  11. Sure, speed helps but Andy is probably the best schematic coach I've ever seen on offense, and most definitely the best KC has ever had. His ability to scheme guys open is amazing. The downside is, to be able to do this, WRs have to know every WR position so they can move around. That, and how complicated the offense is, leads to WRs taking longer to develop than most systems. Which is why we have people bitching about Mecole. I guess I'm old enough to remember when fans thought Tyreek was just going to be a gadget player and had to be schemed open his first 2 years.
  12. KPass was a Dorsey pick, not Veach. Hardman has shown improvement in his routes and appears to be on the Andy Reid 3 year development plan like most WRs who get drafted under Reid.
  13. I wouldn't count the Browns as a loss for the stillers yet. I think the brownies have 1 win vs the stillers in the last 5 years and Baker could go full Baker Mayfield at any time if the Stillers get a lead on em. They are playing well but steelers have owned them.
  14. I didn't say I didn't care or we don't need a better line. I said we've already proven we can get it done without. As you already alluded to, it's not like Veach ignored it, its just circumstances have us where we are. 2nd in the league in scoring (less than a point out of first) but we hit a bit of a red zone slump for a couple games and y'all act like we havent had a good red zone offense with those same types of linemen.
  15. Really? Cause we're 10-1 with a group of has beens, never was's, and who cares on the oline this year.
  16. I think the Bills will kick their ass. If Allen can pick of the blitz, stillers will get toasted. I like them the best out of stillers remaining schedule to get a win.
