  1. Yeah unless he's a knucklehead I don't see us giving up on him quickly.
  2. Veach wants to keep our strengths strong. It's worked out so far. We definitely need more WRs if Sammy and Robinson leave. I'd say it moves to priority 2 after the pass rush. WRs take too Iong to learn this system so might consider a vet and a rookie. Our dominance on offense is predicated on beating 3rd and 4th coverage guys if they double tyreek and kelce. Have to have talent at the 3rd and 4th WR spots to do that. If Sammy stays scratch all that. I would say we can't afford him even at a reduced rate, but veach is a sorcerer so who the fuck knows.
  3. DL. We need a 3rd consistent pass rusher in the worst way to stop these sliding protections. DL Speed at LB and 3rd safety OL
  4. Y'all, Kilgore started breaking down in pass protection near the end of his run as a starter. Dont think he is the panacea for the interior oline problems. I think that's what got him benched. Pass pro over run blocking. That said he's not that much worse than Reiter at it. I don’t think anyway. Andy seems to like Reiter better and I'm guessing that's why. Reiter was pretty good in pass pro last year.
  5. Unfortunately you are probably correct. Unless he tanks testing i don't see him being there at end of 2nd. Dickerson might even be there in the 3rd so maybe. That would be good value and Andy does seem to be more open now to power interior lineman than he used to be.
  6. I hope so. Our line needs a great center in the worst way.
  7. Dickerson less athletic than Creed. Very stiff, not a bender. Just based on games since we don't have testing yet, I'd put Dickerson early day 3. Creed probably late first round but as I said, he might drop depending on testing. I see Dickerson as more of a power gap scheme guy. Stick him in the phone booth and he should be fine. In a power blocking system I can see him going as high as the 2nd or 3rd depending on testing. Creed is more scheme versatile and a better fit for our system but may go too high for our liking.
  8. Creed Humphrey probably be there in the 2nd if he tests poorly like I think he might. More of a cerebral-technique-strength guy vs a great athlete anyway.
  9. It's Hill. Kelce is the best TE in the game but Hill is almost as much of a unicorn as Mahomes.
  10. Yep. Wiz and maybe Rankin. Would be nice if they'd get going.
  11. I think that's fair. I dont think we've played our best football by far. And yet we're still destroying souls. Chiefs had issues with penalties. That they can clean up. Need to reshuffle the line and hope Schwartz gets healthy for the playoffs. Thornhill a question mark. Need him healthy. Dline needs more pressure though they showed improvement today. So lots of things to clean up before the playoffs. Not nearly as bad as people make it out to be though, especially in this fucked up season. The good news is Mahomes and the crew have a cheat code for every test.
  12. lol won't last long but after this game Tyreek and Kelce were 1-2 in receiving yards.
  13. Hell every team in the top 10 is a dumbass for passing on him.
  14. This. And most guys take a year or 2 anyway to fully recover from that kind of injury.
  15. We don't have any first round defensive picks under veach but yes, gotta find starters. Round 2 I'd say the bar is solid starter. Round 3 is eventual starter within 3 years (if you're lucky). You might say thats not good enough of a bar but consider that, historically in rounds 2 and 3, you have only roughly a 30-35% chance of finding a starting caliber player. 4th round you have roughly a 5 to 7% chance of finding a starter. It gets worse from there. If you can find a solid contributor and rotational guy you're ahead of the game.
  16. Gay and Sneed are still getting up to speed with the fucked up offseason but yes, both can be starting caliber guys.. Fenton... I think his ceiling is rotation guy who is matchup dependent. Should probably be the 4th or 5th corner. Saunders can play. He's stuck behind 2 better players though, plus Wharton, who is a freak still learning to play. The good thing with Saunders is he has some versatility to his game (can play nose, 1 tech, 3 tech). The bad news is, when everyone is healthy, you might be better off with specialists behind your starters. Thats how its played out with Wharton (pass rush specialist) and Pennel (run specialist).
  17. 2019 2nd Thornhill - starter 3rd Saunders - contributor 6th Fenton - contributor 2020 2nd Gay - situational starter, work in progress 4th Sneed - contributor 5th Danna - contributor 7th Bopete - ST's only at this point Thats all the defensive players in the last 2 drafts under Veach. 2018 he found 1 contributor in Nnadi and a replacement level player in Watts + DOD who is a great special teamer but shit defender. I wouldn't call that mostly misses. Plenty of solid players in that group.
