  1. If Daly turns Taco into a stud he should get some DC consideration. That would be a miracle.
  2. Couple of things to consider.... in this scenario we lose 5,683,587 in cap space this year and @ 5 mil in cap space next year over what he's currently set to earn.
  3. As much money as Pat will make everyone in the chiefs organization, he's worth whatever he can get. We just have to hope it doesn't hamstring the team. He's kind of in a bad spot. Other players are looking at him to change the market. After all, he may have more leverage than almost anybody in nfl history. If he signs too big of a team discount there's gonna be some pissed off players. He has to move the needle somewhere... of course that could just be in something like guaranteed money vs taking every last dollar.
  4. I'll worry when the numbers actually come in. Neither chiefs nor the agents are talking so who knows. I certainly will not worry based on baseless media speculation. Lot of players, agents and owners watching for this contract though. I still think it makes the most sense to tie the contract to a % of the cap, but have also read that the owners are very much against that and are prepared to die on that hill.
  5. No doubt the oline has to improve. And yes they probably should invest more in the line. Niang is a good start, the kid can play. I just don't think we need to go crazy spending there, either in free agency or the draft.
  6. How many championships does bill belichick win without Brady? Does that mean belichick isn't a great coach if the answer is 1 or none? Of course you need great players to win. You especially need a great QB (usually, a few exceptions exist). But none of that means Andy isn't a great coach or that there aren't many ways to get to the big game, including with a mediocre interior line.
  7. Our interior Oline is ok. Not good but ok. The good news is many games it doesn't matter cause most teams don't have the interior dline to exploit it. San Fran happens to have made a ton of olines look bad. Doesn't mean they don't need to improve. But that also doesn't mean we have to go blowing first round picks searching for interior oline. Those guys can be found as Andy has proven. I know, Blah blah blah didn't win the big one until Pat blah blah yadda yadda. That's a bad arguement. 4 straight NFC championship games. Took 2 different teams to the superbowl, which is an amazingly short list of coaches. First coach in chiefs history to win back to back afc west titles, and with alex smith to boot. He'll he won nearly 70% of his games with Alex Smith. And he just won a superbowl with that shitty interior line proving it's not nearly as big of a deal as people make it out to be.
  8. The Packers didn't fail because the oline wasn't good enough, they failed because they refused to surround Rodgers with enough weapons at the skill positions. And also because they failed to modernize their offense (McCarthy has admitted this since he got fired). As long as Andy and Veach are here we should not have that problem). But I do agree we have to get better on the line.
  9. If by "it", you mean, he's not Pat, well no one is. But he does have a chance to be good. Put him with a coach like andy and he could be great. Unfortunately for him he's got mediocre offensive coaches so that will likely lead to a mediocre career. I did like the 2 offensive linemen they drafted for their system if Muti can stay on the field. I would not say they have no D. They do have a good D oriented head coach and still have some good defenders. But yeah they're not going to be what they used to be.
  10. I think denver might be building something. Lock can play if he's given time and has good second effort ability and a live arm. they've acquired some good weapons over the last few years as well, though I'm not that high on Hamler. Though if they don't build that oline up more they're in trouble. Lock ain't Pat. And Shurmur ain't no Andy. Very average play caller.
  11. Does a bear wear a funny hat? Does the Pope shit in the woods? Of course!
  12. Is this the birth of the 11 DB defense?
  13. If Niang isn't ready then why would they force him in there to start the season. Texans Chargers Ravens Patriots That's our first 4 games.
  14. To be fair the NFC didn't put up much of a fight. The saints shit the bed early and the packers were extremely overrated.
  15. I always thought jerry jones was Skeletor.
  16. You're speaking to the not-so-dearly departed so I doubt they'll answer.
  17. Wilkie may have peed on him but MDISB John Hadl ended up drowning.
  18. I bet. But considering the fact that she's dead you should probably have more questions to ask him.
