This has to make other teams uneasy. What exactly is his ceiling? If we can keep this guy surrounded by some talent, man o man.

Yeah I agree. If Sammy goes we need another WR stat. We have to keep feeding Mahomes more pass catchers than other teams have DBs to cover.

I doubt that's realistic. Not much in the way of proven talent at tackle in free agency so he'll likely get overpaid.

Yeah sure if you're a few years away from moving them but the techniques are different, and in this discussion at least, we're talking about cutting Fisher next year. So now they've spent their first year not working at tackle. Add to that you still don't know how they'd look on the outside when you get to the next offseason, so do you need to draft another tackle the next year or not? You may have no idea because they don't even have practice reps to review. Not that it can't be done. Anything is an upgrade over our last swing tackle.

Lots of college tackles move inside in the pros. Most don't make it back outside. I guess if you find a guy talented enough, but you're wasting a year of development.

Overthecap's player valuations are always wonky. But I do agree Ekeler has way more value. RBs who are great in the passing game are getting paid more right now.

Not really. 1st round receivers talentwise will be available in the 2nd and day 2 receivers will be there on day 3. Best value will be whomever drops cause some really good players are gonna fall in this draft.

Cash outlay for fisher is right in line with production. He's around 11th. Average $ for this contract is 12m per, which is fine. We're just in the back end now which is why the bigger cap hits this year and next. That says to me he's due for a restructure.

I'd like that better at 1 year for 10m + a team option for another year at 14. He's sitting on 80m in career earnings. He is right at that May Want a Ring More Than Anything sweet spot. 3 years is a no thanks for me.
