  1. Meh we can use more talent at every position group except QB or specialists. WR, for instance, doesn't appear to be a big need but consider the contracts, that it takes a couple of years to get Andy's system down, and that we can maximize Pat's talent by keeping the skill positions loaded. When you hit the playoffs, we've seen our top guys constantly doubled. Having your 3rd, 4th or 5th best targets be guys you can rely on has been huge for us.
  2. Well yeah duh. Nobody drafts kickers in the first except the raiders.
  3. My point was you don't necessarily have to use a first to find talent. Most of those guys are pretty good and none of them were 1st ed picks, FA or not. Always BPA in the first. Never force it to fill a perceived need. If a good corner drops great. But only make the pick if the grades are there.
  4. I think Spags mostly wants smart DBs who can play multiple coverages. He was pretty good at keeping QBs on their toes.
  5. Yeah Lamar was awesome in the Superbowl.
  6. Well... we look at it like ours is happening right now with our current 24 year old QB, not in the olden times of 2012 with a soon to be former donkey qb.
  7. But do we need to do that? I know that's the conventional wisdom... throw a first rounder at the problem. But outside of Mo Claiborne, this was our DB room, and I think we can all say it was a strength not a weakness: Juan Thornhill - 2nd round Kendall Fuller - 3rd round Tyrann Mathieu - 3rd round Bashaud Breeland - 4th round Armani Watts - 4th round Jordan Lucas - 6th round Rashad Fenton - 7th round Charvarius Ward - Undrafted Keith Reaser - Undrafted Daniel Sorenson - Undrafted
  8. Yeah against stacked boxes. We saw what happens when he's asked to do it under real pressure.
  9. Not to mention that was a fun ass playoff game. Well 3/4's of it anyway. Wouldn't mind seeing a rematch in the opener.
  10. Anybody think any of the Rest of the West gets it together? Drew Lock looked pretty damn good late in the year. Still kills me that the fucking Donkeys drafted him.
  11. Hoping some of our tough games get bunched up. This early at least that looks like a fairly easy schedule for a first place team. Be nice if they had a tough stretch later in the year to get playoff honed. Baltimore Buffalo Nawlins Patsies if Brady returns Houston Atlanta if they can get it together. These are all tough games.
  12. That's a great point. MVP lost some run yards at the end due to those funky dropback kneeldowns at the end, which btw were an awesome and smart way to eat some extra clock.
  13. Here's a look at who the Chiefs will take on at Arrowhead Stadium next season along with their 2019 record: Atlanta Falcons (7-9) Carolina Panthers (5-11) Denver Broncos (7-9) Houston Texans (10-6)* Las Vegas Raiders (7-9) Los Angeles Chargers (5-11) New England Patriots (12-4)* New York Jets (7-9) And here are the Chiefs' road opponents in 2020: Baltimore Ravens (14-2)* Buffalo Bills (10-6)* Denver Broncos (7-9) Las Vegas Raiders (7-9) Los Angeles Chargers (5-11) Miami Dolphins (5-11) New Orleans Saints (13-3)* Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-9) * indicates team made playoffs in 2019
  14. Yeah West, ya fuckin bastard hole. Get it right. Geez what do we pay you for. This is like realizing you have to poop after you shower. Might as well start over. Fuckin anarchy!!!

  16. If Flacco played his entire career like he did on that Superbowl run he'd be a hall of Famer. But thankfully he did not.
  17. Btw I just want to say again that Detroit would be crazy to make that deal and I don't see it happening. Also my preference would be to keep Chris Jones and he just agrees to a team friendly contract. That ain't happening either.
  18. The 4 can easily turn into multiple first round picks. No way do I think we should stay at 4 and pick. But Miami is sitting on 3 first rounders and no QB. LA Right behind them. If Panthers don't resign Cam, and the word is they might move on, they need a QB too. There's 1-2 QBs after Burrow that will be worth it that high. Sitting on the Tua pick is a great position to be in. Trade back, enjoy Isiah Simmons, who would be a beast for a creative coordinator like Spags, or try and replace CJ with Kinlaw, who has some of the same traits. Plus now you have extra picks. Just spitballing. The point is, we didn't win a Superbowl by being timid, and I honestly don't think we can pay both CJ and Mahomes top dollar and still be ok cap wise.
