  1. 8.12.18 Sunday Chiefs Camp twitter update feed A Twitter List by TheChiefsWire
  2. Sunday 8.12.18 practice update: fyi, LDT and Xavier Williams carted off. LDT looked like concussion protocol, Williams looks like a neck issue. Damien Williams also left practice with an injury shortly thereafter. Practice still ongoing so no word on the extent of the injuries.
  3. SMellinger summed it up pretty well today: "The Chiefs are going from a guy who led the league in lowest interception rate partly because of his caution to one who will lead the league in highlight throws partly because of his flare. They had a nice and perfectly sensible Volvo, and traded it in for a souped-up Mustang with racing stripes on the side. They’ll have more fun, but they might run into a few more guardrails, too." https://www.kansascity.com/sports/spt-columns-blogs/sam-mellinger/article216025120.html
  4. Agreed. But this first year is gonna be crazy. He may drive some of us batty at times with the mistakes. But what the hey, you gotta make mistakes to learn from them. Gonna be a fun season.
  5. Here's the thing though... it's going to carry over to Sundays. No first year QB doesn't throw bunches of Int's their first year starting. Usually it's year 2 or 3 of starting when the int's drop as they figure out what they can get away with. Mahomes has an incredible ceiling but he's not superman. Eventually he'll figure it out as he gets game experience. Crying about it now is futile. Have patience. Enjoy the ride, but know that you won't see a finished product for a few years. In the meantime, he just has to make enough plays to overcome his mistakes. The good news is Mahomes seems to have no conscience, which is good. While he's more similiar to Rodgers in his play (imo), that's the brett favre gene working in that favre could throw 3 int's and come back strong in the same game. Most qb's would turtle up in that situation. TL;DR this is what progress looks like. It's not always pretty.
  6. "Rodgers has also said in the past that he uses practice reps – such as live team periods during camp – to test throwing windows and risk opportunities he wouldn’t normally take in a real game. It’s a way to test the boundaries of a play without the in-game consequences." https://packerswire.usatoday.com/2018/08/02/packers-arent-the-least-bit-worried-about-aaron-rodgers-training-camp-ints/amp/?__twitter_impression=true
  7. Another overreaction. He didn't say that. Have some perspective.
  8. Meh progress is ugly. He went 18 for 20 on monday. He's also dropping bombs all over the field like a boss. Frankly I'm not the least bit concerned. He's gonna throw int's this year. Just get used to the idea. I could care less about other qb's and I'm not the least bit concerned someone might call me a homer. Fuck em.
  9. It's the first week of camp and Andy has told him to not hesitate and let it fly. Andy wants him to see what he can get away with in camp and preseason. So anybody worrying about int's at this stage, knowing that, needs to put their big girl panties on and calm down.
  10. Disagree. Ragland needs this training camp if he wants to improve on last year. He's good but still a work in progress.
  11. Yes that is concerning. But we knew he was an elevated injury risk when we traded for him. Of course maybe they're just being careful like they said.
  12. Any day of the week. Honestly though i don't even care about picks in TC or preseason. He needs to be pushing the envelope to see what he can do now. Good thing Andy understands this. Even in the regular season, at least this year, i don't think it matters. There's no substitute for live game action as a teacher. Remember, Peyton Manning led the league with, like, 28 int's his first year starting. I don't expect Mahomes will do that but it will be a mixed bag this year as he learns. If people freak out, well, fans gonna fan, but doesn't mean we should listen to them.
  13. Meh. Fans will freak out. It's bound to happen. The smart fans will have patience.

  15. Pay attention. Andy Reid already said he has directed Mahomes to let it fly in camp to learn what he can get away with and what he can't. It's called training. Weird, i know. I mean, training? In training camp? Btw he also had a 63% comp rate in full team practice and threw multiple amazing passes. But you know, why look at the big picture.

  19. True. Especially Watson. Hell some of the qb's drafted this year are rated higher on the new Madden. Which is ridonkulous.
  20. Yeah i don't think Andy wants to expose Mahomes too much in preseason. See what you need to see and yank him.
  21. FurpJ i don't see any issues with pernissions on your account. I would think it's the browser. IE doesn't play nice with a lot of software. Would highly recommend Chrome. It's easy to use.
