  1. Also based off preseason (ranking among all players): Rice 5th in receiving yards, 3rd in catches, 1st in YAC. Neither the drops nor the stats mean jack squat. Cause it's preseason.
  2. To Carolina. Swap of conditional 7ths. Not surprising as he wasn't going to make the team. Glad we got at least something for him. Preseason pro bowlers still don't have a lot of value.
  3. Very little chance he sits out more than a few weeks. Any longer and he just makes it easier to tag him next year.
  4. lol our line will not be good without CJ. And the DT wall is not at 30. Let's be realistic at least.
  5. Wait. We tagged him once before so this would be a 2nd tag. I keep forgetting that. Then it's 120% of cap hit.
  6. lol some of the notes you fuckers send with the donations... BTW whomever donated on cash app thank you. I don't know who that is but much appreciated.
  7. Donation received. I guess you earned it. No pass offs on the blumpkins sorry. Also not redeemable for cash. OT will be at your house at 8:30. Sorry.
  8. Yes I put a post earlier in this thread. Joel Corry put it out on the tweeterX. He's a former agent and a good follow for cap junkies. Franchise tag is based on cap hit so if CJ forfeits 8 weeks salary his cap hit reduces and the tag is probably in the 24m range. The numbers I've seen out there say anywhere from 20-23 but it can't be lower than the average of the top 5 at the position for an exclusive tag, which is around 24.
  9. lol I had to share your donation note with OT privately. He says he may send a proxy. Whomever donates the least amount is the proxy.
  10. I wish they would trade CEH. Don't see how even Perine doesn't give you more. They don't have to clear much. Kelce seems an obvious candidate for an extension contract wise, but age is a factor. Mahomes conversions have to be done by start of league year as they are mostly roster bonuses iirc. Shouldn't be too tough. Mike Borgonzi is a contract wizard.
  11. Sorry, but I did say no take backsies. Thx for your donation btw.
  12. No freebies, this ain't a european hostel. If you do it before you donate you start incurring daily fines of $25 per day until you donate. If you do not donate before the deadline you will be shot. Out of a cannon. Into the sun.
  13. FAQ on donations: Q: do I get anything for donating? A: self respect, board esteem, you get 1 free pass to call me an asshole in CTO, and OT will show up at your house and give you your choice of a Blumpkin or a Dirty Sanchez. Yes you can donate extra to keep the last part from happening. Q: why should I donate? A: cause you want the board to stay open and it's expensive. Q: can I do whatever I want on the board after I donate? A: no. And before you respond, SPFD fuck off. Q: what happens to the money and what happens if you raise more than board costs. A: money goes to boss to help with board expenses. If we ever do raise more than board costs, the current plan is to buy more hookers and blow for the official CC superbowl win celebration. Be good and you'll get an invite.
  14. I think salary amounts you were expected to pay but don't end up paying for whatever reason are deducted from the next years cap. The language in the CBA is legalese. BTW don't believe anything you hear on actual amounts that could be forfeited. The CBA allows a lot of leeway in contract language on what can be forfeited including %'s of most bonuses. But it also doesn't require players to agree to that language. So unless we saw the details of his contract who knows on the totals. Fyi we will need to clear cap space going into the season with our top 51 plus PS so if you see some restructures or unexpected cuts of higher salaries then they're not close to a deal with CJ.
  15. Since this is about AAV in the CJ contract negotiations its fair to remember that Pat didn't leave money on the table per say. He increased the AAV at his position, already the highest in NFL history, by another 10m per. Where it's team friendly is the length and ability to convert bonuses, not in the AAV. No matter what he signed it was a guarantee that he'd be passed in AAV due to the nature of NFL contracts. So while we look at it now and say he's a bargain, at the time it was unprecedented amounts. As well, both Pat and Trav signed extensions with 2 years remaining under contract, which is normally where players might give up some AAV for security. At the time he signed his 2020 extension, Trav was #2 in AAV at his position after Kittle, so he did give up about 0.75m per on the AAV (compared to Kittles AAV) but it's not like it was a massive discount at the time. Plus Trav and Pat both have opportunities outside football that most players don't to make money on endorsements just by the nature of playing glamour positions (and being awesome). I keep hearing people repeat this one a lot but it's looking at the contracts in hindsight after enough time has passed for the contracts to become outdated in AAV.
  16. Yes it will count. They won't make him inactive and he's definitely a top 51 salary. Much ado about nothing imo. iirc AD held out like this 2 years in a row. Before he got his last bump it went into 1st week of season and he started talking retirement to force the Rams hand. He didn't play until week 2. CJ will show probably around same time. And if he really does hold out til week 8 we'll know he has the dumbest agent of all time since he just made it possible for KC to franchise tag him.
