Of note, Thuney is now 10th highest paid guard at 16 per. If Trey will play ball contract wise I think they give him the Thuney contract and set it to kick in with 2026 when Thuney hits UDFA at age 34. 16 per and 10th highest paid guard sounds about right for Trey.

So the deal is reported as 4/72 but this early that's gonna be all agent releases. Once the numbers come out we'll see but I bet kc sees this deal more in the range of 5/77, factoring in the current year at @ 5 mil, which is about 15.4 per. Can't wait to see the numbers. I would bet the big jump in salary is pushed off to 2026 when the cap space really opens up for us.

I think you're right and it will be mid season before the defense figures it out. I also don't think it will matter as Andy now has an LT (assuming he continues to improve) and a legitimate field stretcher. I think as soon as Hollywood gets back this offense is gonna cause problems for people. Maybe sooner, depending on health in Week 1. Worthy looks good to go and he's gonna scare the shit out of some DC's. Worthy is gonna drag multiple defenders deep as soon as he starts making some deep catches. That's gonna leave a lot of room for Kelce and Rice, and eventually Hollywood on those intermediate routes. Told y'all it was Worthy or bust in the draft and you're gonna see why now. Before with Reek, Pat never wanted to take the underneath options. Now he's spent 2 years learning to take what the defense gives him. It's gonna get vicious when the offense gets it figured out.
