Tbh I get that Gibbs is a really good prospect but if we really want a RB high I think we'd be better served by taking Devon Achane on day 2. Really good hands and the speed is on another level than even Gibbs. The only thing missing is the pass pro but who gives a fuck with his speed.
Hell I'd be tempted to convert Achane to receiver. He's just terrifying in the open field.
"Hmmmm, all the winning and championships don't seem to have the peoples hyped enough. This trade up 4 spots in the first ought to do the trick!"
- Clark Hunt (probably)
5) Taking the ball out of Mahomes hand, unless it's situational football, is always a horrible idea, i don't give a shit who your running back is.
6) Drafting Bijou Peepoo is a great idea, assuming you hate winning superbowls.
lol if you haven't figured it out by now you're not gonna.
Every team needs a little luck in the draft. Every single GM in the history of the league has as many misses as hits, assuming he lasts more than a couple years.
Veach is ahead of the curve and on a heater, but is bound to have more misses in the future. That's just how it works.
But if you can't tell he's smart by now, that says more about your intelligence than his.
Yeah if they see a guy they want and have graded as a 1st at around 20-24 and can make that deal I could see it. I think there's less guys with 1st round grades this year.
No. I don't think they give up their 2nd regardless of who it is. I could see giving up a 4th.
I'm not that convinced that Wright and Harrison are that much better than some of the day 2 tackles though.
I called it way before that. Johnston and Iosivas are my KC draft crushes. Will also accept Zay and Trey. Actually that might be better since it rhymes.
Senior bowl practice is where he showed up for me.
I have no idea where he goes. I said before the athletic profile says 2nd round. We saw a very similar athletic profile from the FCS go 2nd round last year. I don't think he does as he does not appear to have the same hype (though he should)... but some food for thought:
That article lost me right around the time they started talking about how much better Justin Herbert was than Joe Burrow.
More talented prospects are more likely to come out early and get taken higher. Higher drafted prospects are more likely to get a 2nd contract. Yet the bust rate is still high for even high draft picks.
And none of this takes into account the current post covid classes that lost a year as it was written in 2016.
As well, applying statistical analysis to 1 individual player doesn't really tell you much.
My plan is as good as any.
Step 1: Draft Andrei Iosivas
Step 2: ... ... ...
Step 3: Profit
Iosivas is an all american in heptathalon and the best ivy league player this year. Amazing athlete with size, speed, separation and explosion. Attacks the ball and great hands. Excellent rac as well. I have no idea where he goes. Profile suggests 2nd round but level of competition says day 3. Smart player as well.
Kelce made his first nfl catch at age 25. Not concerned about 23.
