I kind of agree with both sides here. We do not currently have a receiver capable of doing what juju did for us in running those kelce routes and taking some pressure off him. That said, there's more than 1 way to skin a cat besides finding another big receiver that can play X or in the slot, including picking up one of a gajillion really good tight ends in this draft, keeping 4 TEs, and destroying with 12 personnel more.

The Jawaan Taylor contract has an out a year after Creed and Trey Smith are up for contracts. Knowing we can resign both those guys for low first year cap hits the same year as Jawaan's last big payday before we have an out makes it doable and buys time to find younger tackles. I can see why they wanted him as you can leave him on an island against even top pass rushers. Don't care that much about his run blocking. I think he'll do well on the left if that's the plan. Also there are outs in the contract after each of the first 2 years. 20m of the reported guarantees don't actually guarantee until after new league year starts next year.
