  1. When teams do run all over us, we are far more likely to lose. It just doesn’t happen very often.
  2. Patriots are better than the Ravens and I expect a tougher game
  3. That had to be one of the best games by a QB in MNF history didn’t it?
  4. Best part of the night might have been watching Mahomes count to 4 as he headed to the sideline after his fourth TD. But he wasn’t counting TDs but rather his NFL Top 100 ranking of 4th. This kid is truly becoming Jordanesque.
  5. Baltimore Sun Secondary The Ravens got exposed every way imaginable. Long ball, short ball. They couldn’t tackle after the catch and shied away from some of the Chiefs running backs after long runs. Ravens cornerback Marcus Peters got beat several times, and he was as bad Monday night as he had been in training camp. The Ravens were beat physically but mentally as well — especially including star cornerback Marlon Humphrey and safety DeShon Elliott. Grade: F
  6. And on top of the give away by Thompkins Andy clearly toned the offense way down in the second half or we likely score 50. Any thought that Jackson is in Mahomes league is laughable.
  7. It’s almost like we can do anything we want on offense if the opponents can’t get to Mahomes without blitzing. And that’s gonna set a lot of different guys up.
  8. My concern on defense is our LBs have looked bad and with Ward out or limited and Breeland suspended we’ve got two rookie corners who are gonna play a lot. Again dividends down the road. We missed Clark against LA. He’s crucial.
  9. We saw it last year with Andy really working on short passing game in the middle of the season. We just didn’t look the same for stretches. But we got to the playoffs a more diverse team and the offense opened up a can of whoop ass.
  10. I think Andy’s more focused on integrating CEH into the offense and especially the running game than having passing game firing on all cylinders right now. Building towards January.
  11. The guy tested positive before he ever went by the way, he just didn’t have results back yet. System broke down somehow because they were supposed to require a negative test to enter a suite/box.
  12. The Chiefs season ticket base was really built in the 90s and aged into their 50s during this decade. And someone in their 50s just isn’t as crazy as they were in their 20s. The end of the King Carl era and the Pioli era really cleared out a solid core of those long term fans which worked out great because the Mahomes era brought a noticeably younger more boisterous fan back. And Arrowhead has been fantastic the last two years. And is part of the reason we are World Champs today IMO. All that said, the technology and know how of how to maneuver around crowd noise on offense makes home field advantage today less than in the past anywhere.
  13. The kid basically knocked Breeland Soeaks off the roster. Impressive. He apparently played hurt last year and it left his film not representing his full ability.
  14. He said he was lining up in a Khalil Mack type role but they also have moved him onto the interior Dline on passing downs. Spags loves his pass rushers.
  15. Steven St.John Retweeted James Palmer @JamesPalmerTV · 1h I’m told one name that continues to pop up with people inside the #Chiefs building is Tershawn Wharton. The undrafted free agent from Missouri Science and Tech seems almost a lock to make the the teams’ 53 man roster. Great local story. Wharton is an undersized athletic edge who had a ridiculous 50 1/2 tackles for loss and 30 sacks in his D2 career.
