  1. He quit coming to the Chiefs board with any regularity after the Royals swept the Orioles in the 2014 playoffs.
  2. I’m resigning Fuller if we can get him at a Steven Nelson contract. Then drafting a CB in the first two rounds and finally looking for another 1 year prove it deal from a veteran coming off a down or injury plagued year.
  3. I thought we’d be better next season in year 2 of Spags system and as we better figured out K Hunts replacement long term as oline. . Agree a sense of urgency could’ve pushed Andy and Veach to go get that great final piece at any cost. Winning though let’s us continue to hedge in building now without giving up so much it hurts our future. The crucial element to competing in the Mahomes second contract era will be those first contract guys. We need the draft resources to get those.
  4. This is just mind boggling to me. The plan to catch the World Champs and compete with the best QB in football is to sign a 42 year old QB for 30 million.a season. I suppose drafting a young QB early could make some sense of it but I’m sure Brady would demand every available resource be used to surround him with talent. I just can’t see it. Even from those turds.
  5. Veach went after both those guys but when the price went sky high he didn’t panic and stuck with his 1 year signings Breeland and Claiborne. Again. We didn’t go all in and our future has more potential because of it. Meanwhile the Texans and Rams did go all in and now have real issues going forward without multiple years of early picks.
  6. Do we have all of our first second and third round draft picks the next 5 years. Yes. Meanwhile the Texans and Rams don’t have another first round pick until 2022. We didn’t go all in. This isn’t hard.
  7. Second half of the season The Landlord was the best safety in football. I’m not sure Berry ever played at that level.
  8. The Chiefs DID NOT go all in unlike the Rams last year or the Texans this as we still have all of our early draft picks because Veach didn't overpay when those two good corners became available.
  9. Vick had a better arm but had a hard time handling NFL offensive systems. I remember Andy scaled back his offense back quite a bit for him. Man did he have a day at GB in the playoffs though.
  10. Agree. We are probably more in the market for a 1 year prove it deal for a guy coming off an injury or bad season like B Breeland than a big name who's probably going to be overpaid. Draft a corner in round 1 and make a decision on Fuller who I'd keep.
  11. I actually went to both games and somehow managed alcohol enough to make it to the end. LONG DAY!
  12. Key to that Monday game was we got the dreaded game 2 late night start (around 8:30 I think). I think they need about a 9 hour spread to make it work. With 7:25 kickoff that doesn’t leave much room.
  13. They’d have to move that back at least 2 hours to make it work. We play at home at 1 on that Sunday too, so SNF would be a problem too. Don’t be shocked if we don’t get opener (although I’d still say it’s likeky we do). I like your Oakland/left Oakland angle. 😂
  14. There’s not a QB in the AFC near Mahomes level. At this point only bad luck with injuries is keeping us from being a major factor again in January. I expect us iat least n AFC Title games every year for the foreseeable future.
  15. I guess me question is why bitch about something that makes absolutely no difference to anything. It’s a fluke we’ve never opened vs Denver. at home is the most reasonable response. Either way the Broncos are 1-16 all time in December.at Arrowhead. So ho, ho, ho Broncos. Hope to see you later rather than sooner next year.
  16. Just wondering why you cared enough to write the league about this? Does is it really matter in any way? You also have to consider the Chiefs are at the mercy of the Royals schedule early in the season just to have a home opener at all. In fact the Royals play at home the entire NFL opening weekend which could set up a possibiilty we don't get the game at all. More likely the Royals will just move their start back a few hours.
  17. Ever since that run the Ravens have become an irrelevant team in January. Only 3 playoffs, 1 win in 7 years. Whatever happened before Andy Reid got to KC is irrelevant anyway and I'd consider the olden days.
  18. Wondering if they are in the market for Stafford. Chargers defense is legit if not hamstring by a turnover machine offense.
  19. Meh. Lock and the Broncos looked completely overmatched at Arrowhead after a bunch of trash talk early in the week. Better is relative for a team that’s been our b*tch for the last 4 years. Reality is last year was even uglier for them against us getting blown out and embarrassed twice.
  20. The Giants actually kneeled on first down but abandoned that on second down after a very physical exchange. Again the QB had to actually be touched then. Today the risk is clearly far less with the QBs ability to give himself up. The way teams put a WR or RB deep is further protection. I’m sure somebody at some point will mess this up. But it’s going to take a mental error of epic proportions.
  21. Why do his teammates call him Playoff Damien. In 6 playoff games he has 11 TDs In 85 regular season games he has 22 TDs
  22. That was one crazy mistake riddled game. Matt Cassel threw three INTs Rivers fumbled again in OT. The kneel down fumble was helped along by the Royals “accidentally” shooting fireworks off right before the snap. It was nuts. On point it seems like Mahomes fumbled a kneel down last year but got it back. I can’t remember anyone blowing it other than the Miracle at the Meadowlands where for some reason the Giants decided not to kneel. But even then the QB couldn’t just give himself up like today. I know Brandon Weeden fumbled a kneel down in college but it didn’t impact outcome. It’s such an easy operation and other than Greg Schiano teams usually just let it happen. Because of this in the Chiefs case Williams probably should have gone down at the 1 because of this. But it’s probably splitting hairs on how far the 99.9% chance of winning could be improved by either action.
  23. Having an elite QB is something we can never take for granted. He’s nearly always the true MVP even as we look for pieces around him who also played well. Geoff Schwartz @geoffschwartz · 3h Chiefs fans ... it’s 24-20 in the Super Bowl with 1:25 left Rushing yards Willams 62 Mahomes 44 ... Williams breaks a long run to seal the game and y’all want to give him the MVP? Oh man.
