Spags has literally been leaving Ward without safety help on opponents top WRs with regularity. Breeland isn’t in his league.

Also on point the Champs look like they are on life support. But I would never count out that coach and QB until the clock says :00 and they have been officially eliminated. Exactly right. The safeties really let Spags do his thing as the season progressed. A lot easier to disguise coverages when you know both of your safeties can hold up in man coverage. It's why I like what they are trying to do with Fuller.

Anyone who knows anything about Andy Reid had to realize he'd create a workable game plan for Moore. I'd have zero confidence in winning playoff games though. Next man up would be a MASSIVE talent dropoff. And it doesn't mean Moore shouldn't be on roster. Its just reality.

Sounds so simple, but reality is far different. There are positions where there is a massive talent dropoff on every roster including the Chiefs. There's a reason he and Mathieu have played more snaps on defense than anyone else. It is what it is, they have do deal with it. Its a concern though especially are seeing how poor our safety play was last year. Again its possible we found some help there with Fuller just in time. Now Watts will have to elevate his play in some capacity as well. We will see.

Offensive line really struggled again with Ingram and Bosa. That's probably my number one concern heading into January along with the loss of Thornhill.

Coach speak. Reality is its much easier said than done. Thornhills speed was something sorely missing last year. We can only hope that moving Fuller into that deep safety role last week gives us a legit option.

Good movie! I do remember a story about Todd Haley drawing up a play on a cocktail napkin right before the NFC Title game when he was at AZ. Ended up being a long TD play in the game. Not exactly the Annexation of Puerto Rico, but these guys do still have some fun with some of the play calling.

As big as Andy’s playbook is reported to be, I have no doubt he’s got some things in reserve for the playoffs. He really seemed to make a concerted effort to get the running game going as well including the option stuff. It’ll be interesting to see if that was just a distraction or if he thinks it could be useful against a specific opponent. We are as healthy as we’ve been all season on offense. Are we about to unleash the beast? 😆

Andy Reid is 5-1 following postseason bye week. As Mahomes said yesterday it’s basically a free win. Anything can happen in this league so you take the free win whenever you can get it.

Show me people that wanted to rest the starters with that game still in jeopardy. Most people, myself included, would’ve sat a questionable player or emptied benches had the Patriots game been out of reasonable reach. It absolutely would not have been worth losing Juan Thornhill if the game meant nothing. Texans has zero to play for and wisely did this. Not real hard to figure out.

How many of those home playoff losses did we have the inferior QB? I think largely the home crowd and great defense helped keep us in games where we were outmanned at the most important position.
