  1. We are fortunate that the two cornerstones of that group are playing. Clark and Jones both had sacks last night.
  2. Think about all the injuries on the Dline too. Half our regular rotation is out for the season. And they are still playing well. Should be a major strength moving forward.
  3. They are truly living a modern version of our Todd Blackledge nightmare. Hard for organizations to overcome that type of mistake.
  4. Interior oline sucks and he’s trying to establish some running game heading into the postseason to protect QB.
  5. e 19-yard pass to Tyreek Hill on the first drive gives Patrick Mahomes these stats this season on 3rd or 4th and 18 or more: 9-of-10 for 220 yards, 5 first downs, 4 TDs and on interceptions. And then watching Trubisky throw a 5 yard pass in that same scenario down by 20 plus just made me remember how it used to be.not all that long ago.
  6. 7-1 on the road this year. Most road wins since 1966. Big Red can flat out coach.
  7. 3 times in a season isn’t that unusual. Even still that type of familiarity tends to even talent differences out sometimes. That said I’d much prefer to play Oakland than Tennessee. If we are s true Super Bowl contender we should handle either. We sure look capable of a deep run again.
  8. I remember playing them in back to back games. Didn’t realize it was 3 in 4 weeks. But man did Marty own the Raiders.
  9. Another kind of strange scenario for the Titans is if we drop to the 4 seed they will play the Texans in the first round. The third time in four weeks the two teams will have played. I would think the Texans cringe over that scenario. Hard enough to beat a team three times, much less three times in a month.
  10. According to CBS Sports here’s the scenario the Raiders get in if they win today. Week 17 Raiders beat Broncos Browns beat Bengals Ravens beat Steelers Texans beat Titans Colts beat Jaguars
  11. Raiders fans are claiming.a scenario they can be the 6 seed still but I haven’t checked on that.
  12. Tannehill has been really good since taking over for Mariota. 20 TDs, 6 INTs completing over 70 percent of his passes.
  13. Looking like it’s very possible now. We’ve lost three straight to them including two at Arrowhead. If we get to Miami it’s going to take one of the best months in franchise history.
  14. Rookie actual real game action is invaluable for the future. I wouldn’t take Fullers snaps though. He’s a guy who missed significant time this year and we really need to continue to evaluate. He’s only 24 years old and flashed high level play.

  16. Regression after a big turn around is pretty much normal in this league. Absolutely happened to the Chiefs in Andy’s second year too. If that organization is smart Nagy should be safe. Personally I’d start to play young guys more too if I’m Andy. More reps for Hardman, Pringle, Harris and Fenton. Maybe finally get DOD out there and Watts.
  17. Those games you mention we had better QB, we won too. Speaks volumes. I’d say Moon and Kelly were toss ups with the 36 year old Joe. And he didn’t even play the second half vs Buf. His last game was against Marino. Alex Smith was clearly better than Brian Hoyer though. And hence his lone playoff win. He did beat Brees in SF. So it doesn’t always hold up.
  18. I feel you there. In the last 30 years how many playoff games have we actually had the clearly superior QB? Not many.
  19. We need more red zone threats. And a TE who can catch and block could give us a dual threat help in that regard and give us a backup plan in case Kelce gets hurt.
  20. Sure. Since the Minkah Fitzgerald trade the Steelers have been a great defensive team. You have an odd insecurity about people complimenting other teams or stating simple facts about their strengths.
  21. Most being the majority. The top 4 seeds right now all have good QBs. Josh Allen has played well within the Alex Smith realm of what they ask him to do. I think he's got the best 4th quarter passer rating in football? Either way I wasn't talking about he or Hodges/Rudolph. I think both of those teams a fully capable of an upset IF their QB plays decent. But they aren't capable of the deep run any of the other 4 are. And the Texans coach sucks in my opinion. So Watson is gonna have to play his ass off for them to get to Miami. But the kid has that IT factor so its possible.
  22. Most of these playoff teams are pretty equal in talent and most of the AFC field has a good QB, so being relatively healthy is huge. And its pretty much pure luck. This is why its so important in my opinion to have a franchise QB and a coach who can field a consistent contender. Eventually luck will happen if you have enought realistic shots.
  23. You can’t know that. 😂. Dave Toub probably has him on speed dial.
  24. Definitely understand your point. I’m just saying Brees is only 8-7 all time in the playoffs. Not exactly Tom Brady. But no doubt I’d take him at home in that scenario and roll the dice.
