  1. We just need him to give us another solid rotational player. If he can deliver one of those big plays at a crucial time it's a bonus. Haven't we had the lead in every game of the Mahomes era?
  2. Thornhill and Mathieu have played over 95 percent of the snaps at safety and been the biggest reason for our defensive turnaround aside from Spags in my opinion. With Sorenson back to assuming his role as a 3rd safety its just left nothing but scraps for Lucas or Watts. Both have played a ton on special teams. DOD has the most special teams snaps on the roster but ZERO snaps on defense. Daron Lee was essentially benched after week 6 and has snaps on defense in only one game since then. Ragland and Neiman have gobbled up all of his prior snaps. Darius Harris has gone from the Ravens practice squad to netting 59 snaps the last two weeks. He's listed at LB but appears to play more DE. Seems as though he''s taking some of Wilsons snaps though. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/kan/2019-snap-counts.htm
  3. I prefer noon games too. But there’s a MUCH bigger audience in prime time.
  4. After the Chiefs/Patriots game got the highest afternoon ratings for NBC in over 5 years all bets were off. Mahomes is just a gigantic draw.
  5. Suggs is clearly gonna need to produce in spurts and not counted on full time. He had a 7 tackle, 2 TFL, 1/2 sack, 1 QB bit game last month. So he can still play a little bit.
  6. I think most important is Spags loves to rotate his Dlinemen regularly so whether he starts or not if he agrees to play here he can help
  7. Good news is this Harris kid we plucked off the Ravens practice squad has flashed in back to back weeks.
  8. What I’m saying is it’s the rarest of rare things for a HOF QB in his prime to land on your doorstep. It took a once in a generation QB and an injury to set the Colts up to get him that created this rarest of rare opportunities. Sure Elway gets credit for getting him to sign. But that point is Elway has butchered that position completely except when he got this huge break.
  9. I’d say we are right there at a point going at least 5-1 is expected. Keep dominating the division and you’ll keep getting playoff chances. With this QB, eventually we will break through. Hopefully that’s next month!
  10. Yep. He literally “Luck’d” into Manning otherwise it’s been total mismanagement of the games most important position. I do think Lock has the potential to develop into a solid 2nd tier type you can win a lot of games with. But does Elway have patience to develop that and is he capable of hiring the coach to do it? Either way much like Alex Smith vs P Manning, we aren’t gonna be losing much to that franchise anytime soon.
  11. And oh by the way....the Donkeys didn’t score 10 points total in both games against us this year. They are total frauds coached by a Gunther Cunningham like scrub.
  12. Drew Lock got worse as the game progressed and got most of his yards on screen passes.
  13. Andy Reid owns the Broncos. It’s that simple. Way better QB, Way better coach.
  14. Tarp off the field and it’s already snow covered. All bets are off on what to expect.
  15. I’m thinking it’s gonna be more of a grind it out game now. Completely depends on how field holds up.
  16. Roads are already bad and it’s supposed to snow 12 more hours. It’s really going to impact passing game and our speed advantage as it’s likely field conditions won’t be good.
  17. Plus Seattle got a very late first and what will be a very late second for Clark. Trade value chart we basically gave up the 17th-18th pick for Clark. That’s probably the max for Jones although I’m sure Veach has privately made calls to gage interest. I expect us to keep him. Maybe 75-25.
  18. Okafor is under contract through 2021. I’m not sold Breeland is the corner I’d retain. I still think 24 year old Fuller has the most upside. But this could go either way. I really think they want a Jones deal done soon. (As do I) But it’s interesting how our offseason would change if I’m wrong and they tag and traded him.
  19. If we can find a sideline to sideline LBer and a legit young corner next year, this defense could realistically jump from mid pack to top 5.
  20. Pretty good chance of moderate snow during the game which could neutralize some of our speed advantage even though the field is heated. If we can continue trend of being better vs run and Clark can continue to play through stomach virus, I expect 4-5 more sacks though.
  21. The only doctor the Chiefs have in house plays right guard.
  22. I watched some clips of last season compared to 2019 and he’s doesnt look like the same guy. Still good without any doubt, just not the seemingly care free ultra elite guy from 2018. Lots of reasons for this but I just call it part of the learning curve. Can you imagine a few years ago having a QB have a down season with about 4,000 yards and 30 TDs, 6 INTs in 13 starts?
  23. Always possible. He had a pretty significant injury last year as well which perhaps he hasn't fully recovered from. Either way we can save 5 million by cutting him this offseason. This will be interesting to watch. I think the coaching staffs perspective of his motivation could be a key here. It's possible he could be sitting on a rebound year with a healthy offseason. But with a 9 million dollar CAP his next season, he's clearly on the cut line.
  24. I thought LDT was simply underperforming his contract but last week anyway he was by far our worst olineman according to the film analysis by Seth Keysor allowing 6 pressures. Those other guys are cheap band aid types and yes they certainly play like it. But for the money we are paying him, he may be hurting us the most (other than Cam Erving who can be cut with zero dead money this offseason).
  25. Aside from Wylie or Wiz (which it’s a toss up who’s better), the oline is healthy now. Problem is our interior line just isn’t very good and the worst of the three vs New England was by far our highest paid LDT. That said MAYBE they can improve some with more time together. That said another reality of Sunday is that Mahomes was bailing from clean pockets several times and throwing off the back foot when it wasn’t necessary. His drops are too deep which puts more pressure on them. Part of learning curve of young QB where teams are picking up tendencies and making things harder on him. IE: He can help his struggling oline too.
