  1. I think we all know we’ve still got a few weaknesses on defenses that some teams are better equipped to exploit. But this defense is really starting to grasp scheme and playing with a general competency that we haven’t seen in years and has given the 2019 Chiefs a Super Bowl shot despite regression in the offense because of the oline she running game.
  2. Really? You know a trainer isn’t a doctor. And a general practitioner doctor often refers people to specialists. Haven’t you ever been referred to one?
  3. Yep. We’ve earned a chance at the Super Bowl 20 other teams in the league won’t have including the Donkeys.
  4. Every year there's some trendy pick of overzealous fan base that thinks they are ready to take us down as champs. Supposed to be the Chargers the last two year, Raiders the year before that, next year maybe its Denver. Ain't happening. This is Andy Reids division.
  5. I'd agree with that. If there's a DJ type there in the late 20s you take him. But I also think think corner group is average at best and I'd like to see a legit number one potential guy to pair with Ward and whoever we bring back. No doubt the massive upgrade at safety has been a huge key for this defense. As is a more competent coaching staff that likes to attack the QB.
  6. If we could find a true 3 down backer with coverage skills I’d agree. This draft is pretty deep in potential number 1 corners though and we’ve only got two guys under contract right now. Who we sign or resign will be a pretty good indicator but I think that’ll be the pick. With only 5 picks trading back has to be in play. And the Chris Jones contract looms large here as well.
  7. It’s not a myth. You don’t take a player of need with an 80 grade over a guy that isn’t a clear need but grades out at 90. That’s how you get into trouble. Most rookies struggle so you need to look beyond immediate need and stick to the draft board. That said I’m sure most teams slightly adjust their draft grade based on need. And of course if all things are relatively equal, you will take the immediate need. In a case like QB, there’s always a trade market.
  8. Exactly. Draft board may not set up perfectly for my scenario but I’m with you these are the most important draft targets.
  9. I’d draft the best CB or cover LBer on the board with the first pick. Then draft a center in the second and sign the best system fit G available in free agency. RB in round 3.
  10. I can’t answer that except to say his style of linemen has produced 4 different Pro Bowl RBs. Problem isn’t their style, in my opinion, it’s reality they aren’t very good at it. I read the offensive line film breakdown of Sunday’s game and by far the worst player was by far our higher paid interior lineman LDT. First and foremost Andy wants to protect his QB and they are awful at it.
  11. If we would have beaten the Patriots with high school uniforms on it may have been the greatest sports memory ever for me.
  12. And again why Andy Reid has his hands full calling plays to protect Mahomes and keep defenses honest. Our run game is simply there as a decoy of sorts rather than something we can count on most games to truly produce. As such we've got to live with the ugly 1-2 yard runs up the middle or short screens until we fix the above. Also three different plays last week in the second half I have seen now that show open players downfield with Mahomes taking the bailout option because of pressure. I can't impress in my opinion how important it is to upgrade this oline for next year.
  13. Yep. Its important to run the ball enough to keep defenses and especially safeties honest. But we simply don't have a lot of playmaking ability out of the run game this year. It's something i think we can fix next year though and give our offense that extra dimension again as well as a better ability to close out games.
  14. You do realize that by converting salary to bonus money that you have simply pushed back the payment. It's a horrendous move for a team going nowhere. Why not just suck it up this year and eat what you can? So not only did Flacco cost them a draft pick but it will also cost them 13.7 million in in Dead Cap next year to release him.
  15. People that don’t enjoy wins really should do themselves a favor and stop following the team. This isn’t real life, it’s entertainment. Win the championship and I’ll never get any enjoyment or satisfaction until they do people just don’t get it. That said you seem to always take issue with people bringing up issues that could keep us from the ultimate goal. It’s very reasonable to both really enjoy this team and this very good four year run we are on and still bring up discuss or have concern over things we are struggling with.
  16. We’ve got an elite game planner who’s had six different RBs have 1,000 plus yard seasons. It’s not play design. Our oline can’t run block and our RBs struggle to break tackles in short space. Andy will occasionally abandon run too fast but that’s not the issue this year. IE..we didn’t have this problem with Kareem Hunt and Mitch Morse.
  17. Anyone on Twitter knows how ridiculous Boston fans are. Completely unable to rationally discuss anything but always quick to hurl personal insults like a 6th grader. And they multiply like roaches. Worst fans I’ve ever seen by far. And Raiders fans are awful.
  18. Losing big home games late in the season and losing multiple games in a row in December are not the Patriots MO though. Schedule has truly bailed them out but I wouldn’t pencil in wins for New England at this point. Odds are we will be the 3-4 though. And if that’s the case I hope we know by week 17 so we can at least get our banged up players an off week. Baltimore looks like they can ease back and relax it’s last two games. Maybe too much time?
  19. My concern with Buffalo is that Josh Allen will turn the ball over and they will lose 16-13 or something dumb like that. But I agree, the Bills have a shot there. Crazy thought though. Is there any chance the Bengals could shock the world? 1 percent?
  20. I'm all off base on this one. So NE wins the tie breaker with Buffalo and they are probably going to lose anyway because its at NE. Right now we stand at 60 percent chance at the 2 seed if we win out. I don't think its that high considering the Pats schedule and where that game is at. But its still there with some help.
  21. We have the best strength of victory record in the AFC so it looks like we'd beat the Bills in a tie breaker at 12-4. So yes, there's still a ton to play for.
  22. One warning about Lyft and Uber is they drop you off at the Welcome Center outside of the Truman Sports Complex. Kind of an awkwardly long walk. ZTrip will drop off at the stadium but it’s more expensive.
  23. New England may be an underdog at Buffalo. That’s our shot. But our margin for error is zero. I think those questionable guys who may have played last week, might not play this week though.
  24. We haven’t lost a Sunday division game since 2014. Andy knows how important the division games are so they are never trap games. A likely reason this division is ours for the foreseeable future. Yes there could be a letdown after a huge road win where we clinched. But this team has had bigger goals since day one and I doubt it. Heck we’ve beaten Denver 8 straight times with 5 different QBs. Next!
  25. We are 22 million under the CAP right now. Almost at zero next year but with 20-30 million in cuts very doable. And then over 50 million under the cap in 2021.
