  1. Hard to imagine he’s anywhere near game shape. But he does know system and likely is healthy now. But you always have to be skeptical of street free agents this time of year.
  2. Reality is the Titans play an ugly style which is completely contrary to our style and it gives us problems. Some of those things he’s describing were flukes but others were forced errors. In general it’s hard to keep a consistent flow and feel like you have control against a team like that. Andy’s just rarely ever had success against them for a reason. It’s not a curse either That said we are better and should beat them. But that was true in three of our last four games against them we ended up losing. My hope is a slightly different approach by Andy if we see them in January.
  3. If that’s the case wouldn’t we win that tie breaker
  4. Robinson just hasn’t developed any consistent production. I’d consider letting him walk before we overpay him. We can use Watkins money to sign a good red zone, move the chains possession WR that shouldn’t be crazy expensive and still have enough to upgrade at backup TE.
  5. What about a NE, KC, Buffalo, Baltimore tie? This requires NE to lose to us and the Bills. Baltimore to lose at Buf and at Cleveland. Bills lose at Pittsburgh, Chiefs win out. So in this case the first tie breaker would be between Buf and NE for the East division title. Bills would win leaving a 3 team tie breaker. Chiefs and Bills would have a better AFC record than Balt so it goes to 2 teams. Common opponents they would get us because of the Titans loss. I think we will be the 4 seed and play the Bills on Jan 4th, 7:30 kickoff.
  6. No doubt about that. But with Miami on the schedule, it probably would result in a halftime pull of the starters. Our best chance is for Buffalo to win in NE. Patriots have won 21 straight home games and now we are relying on them losing their last two to give us any chance. That Tennessee loss still stings. But it is, what it is.
  7. Odds seems good to me that last game won't mean anything. We can hope, but realistically we are almost locked into the 3-4 seed.
  8. I really don't think its realistic that Patriots are going to give up that #2 seed with their remaining schedule.
  9. Also have to recognize reality that Veach took over a defense where he has had to subtract as many pieces as he's added due to bad contracts and our overall CAP situation. He's used every pick on day one or two the draft since he's gotten here on the defensive side of the ball other than Hardman. That said he's also traded for a former first round pick in Erving and a former thrid round pick in Rankins. So he knows it needs attention. Hopefully this year we will use some real resources to address it. I think even one good interior linemen would help a TON.
  10. If that’s the case he’d be a strong consideration for me even though corner is the obvious choice.
  11. Point is they aren’t giving you anything up there. We’ve got to go take it where almost nobody does. And if we can it realistically puts us right back in whole thing big time. Plus I hate the freakin Patriots!
  12. Patriots have won. 21 home games in a row. It’s the toughest place to play in football as you battle the team and officials.
  13. Good post. They probably wanted to resign Morse but the concussions just kept piling up. Reiter had to be a stop gap plan where I’m guessing they thought return of LDT would offset the difference. Hasn’t happened and then you add injury to Fisher and it served to expose the whole thing. Erving was a former 1st round pick who simply doesn’t have it at this level. I get why we are here, but moving forward we need at least one high level interior lineman to stabilize group.
  14. Veach did a phenomenal job of band aiding the secondary into a solid group. Corner looked laughably bad to start but it hasn’t played out that way at all. Biggest key there is development of Ward and massive upgrade of speed at both safety spots . Our corner group is very average but they work. Linebackers can’t cover anyone. That and our interior oline are the biggest weaknesses on the team.
  15. No way I’m wasting that pick on an offensive lineman especially on the interior. So that’s out. You can find elite RBs all over the place so that’s not a consideration for me. QB can elevate the WRs so I’d pass there. That said with by far the most important part of the offense already in place, I’m going D Reggie White- best defensive lineman in my lifetime or Deion Sanders - best cover corner of my lifetime both get strong looks but I’m looking for versatility So a Ronnie Lott CB/S combo has to be considered But ultimately I’m going with the best defensive player of this generation LT He impacted a game like nobody else I still value the OLB position but he’s so much more than a pass rusher Hes a game wrecker Mahomes on one side, LT on the other Line the trophies up
  16. The experience these two have gotten is going to be invaluable in the future. I think we are building an elite and deep Dline. Just so happens injuries have really hurt our depth this year.
  17. Still have chills from Mahomes running out of the tunnel pointing at his fake watch "our time". These are the moments you live for as fans.
  18. I was there. One of the funnest games I have ever been too (and that's well over 200), so you hit the jackpot. It literally snowed 6 inches at our tailgate before the game started. Winter wonderland on a night we exercised two plus decades of demons!
  19. I don't disagree but the reality is Derrick Henry has absolutely destroyed us in both games and the Titans have won at Arrowhead in both our two games in the Andy Reid era. And he's something like 1-8 against Tennessee. For whatever reason (and the last game it was Henry and big mistakes) they just seem to have our number. Is what it is though. Just a personal preference. Odds are based on remaining schedule we are playing the Bills or Steelers.
  20. There's no sneaking around this loaded AFC playoff field! But some teams present worse matchups for us than others. Sometimes getting the more favorable matchups can be the difference between losing in the Wild Card round and a trip to Miami. The competition is that close. Just a personal preference not to play Derrick Henry again.
  21. Humphrey is going to be phenomenal at the next level. I'd take him in heartbeat. I think he's only a sophomore though.
  22. Kareem Hunt, Corell Buckhalter, LeShon McCoy and Brian Westbrook all started as rookies. So Andy isn’t one bit afraid to go young when he thinks they are ready. Isn’t Thompson and that coach from Jenks? Popular and successful coach at Blue Valley HS in OP died a few years back in his 30s I believe. It was obvious it devestated a lot of people. Sad indeed.
  23. Pittsburgh, Tennessee or Buffalo at Arrowhead on Saturday night in January. No bargains there but personally I’d like to avoid a Tenn team that gives us fits.
  24. I don’t understand why we aren’t running slants with him in a game with wind like this. Seems as though Andy’s lost all confidence in him.
