  1. And it was on a running play where Williams lack of vision to run into a gaping cutback lane put him and the ball in danger. Who do we want with this ball most of the time, Michael Jordan or BJ Armstrong?
  2. We are competitive every single week which gives Andy more chances to be right or wrong in these situations than any other coach.
  3. I would’ve run the ball but how can anyone possibly fault a strategy that puts the Potential game clinching play in the hands of our best player? Furthermore we had a similar scenario vs LA last year, ran it and lost. And we passed needing a first down to clinch vs Balt this year and won
  4. Can't disagree. We were so close on several occassions to forcing them away from Henry but never could. And Spags just didn't adjust. After 3 really good weeks for him, he was bad last week. Let's hope its an abberation because the Chargers love to use those RBs to beat you.
  5. I think he's a better owner than his Dad but I don't really see that point of this. Donovan, Reid and Veach are the guys he handed the franchise too. As long as they are there, I'm far more interested in what they have to say.
  6. Move away from Pennel clearly a sign Andy thought we'd play from a lead and force them into mostly passing situations. That does make some sense. But not moving back into the run blitzing LBs like Ragland really doesn't after that. Maybe Spags didn't like the personel groupings with Ogbah out. But that three safety look didn't work! I hope somebody specifically asks Spags at his presser tomorrow.
  7. The Chiefs have now been in 1st place for 61 consecutive NFL weeks. Every week since December 2015. So does the coaching staff need to be constantly evaluating themselves and tweeking. Yes! But a little perspective here.
  8. A lot of those playoff wins did come with JJs defense. A big reason I wanted Spags. I’ll gladly sink or swim with a JJ protege who’s already proven he can dial up a big time game plan against a great offense in January. Doesn’t guarantee us one thing though. And I never expected big results til year 2.
  9. You didn’t answer my question. How has he won back to back up back division titles, 200 plus wins, six straight winning seasons, 12 playoff wins, 5 conference championship games if a different attitude is required in this league? Or are you saying it’s only required in games he loses?
  10. Even dumping Pennel for Ivie suggested we expected to get a big lead and play mostly pass defense. We just never seemed comfortable on defense all game after grabbing quick 10-0 lead.
  11. Third round is as early as I’d ever draft a RB. I do think Veach was pretty interested in some day two guys last year. That and the fact they so quickly signed Shady tells me they weren’t comfortable with the group. We really need to see more Darwin Thompson.
  12. It’s no excuse at all, but I think they thought they had won the game after stopping the Titans on 4th down. MVP will wrap it up and let’s head to the airport. We looked completely discombobulated when they had to go back out there and I don’t think I’ve ever seen a player as gassed as Chris Jones.
  13. If it requires a different attitude then how does Andy win so many games?
  14. There were more Chiefs fans in Nashville than Titans fans. I’d say at this point a road game where there’s almost no red might help. Lol. In reality you are right though. Playing in LA would be a home game. Who knows who the El Tri fans will be rooting for.
  15. Special teams rankings the last four seasons. Firing Toub doesn't seem smart to me even with the clear decline this year. But it's something to watch going forward. He says Hardman will break a return soon. Again something to watch. 2016 1st 2017 3rd 2018 2nd 2019 12th
  16. No doubt. They are dink and dink 101 occasional going intermediate down the seams to Weller.
  17. They weren’t healthy when we played them and they have gotten better. That oline and RB are the catalyst of that team. They rank as the 4th best run blocking line and 2nd best pass blocking. What the Raiders don’t have like the Colts is TY Hilton. Or the same defense. They play hard and are well coached. But if we are healthy it’s gonna take turnovers for them to beat us.
  18. At worst we just need to split the next two and then beat them. One game lead and the tie breaker with four left would put us in really good position with mostly teams left who will be dead in the water.
  19. 100 percent. He’s still raw but all of a sudden he looks like a guy who not only is becoming a good complimentary player, but a potential force.
  20. They were great in Denver with different rotations than we had vs Minnesota. Speaks volumes about quality depth. That said we’ve given up 6 TD passes the last two games. Work to be done still. But man can you see some tangible progress!
  21. He practiced on a limited basis for the second straight day today so progress is being made. I'm assuming they intend or hope to have him back after the bye week vs Oakland. The only active player on the roster not to practice today was Okafor with his high ankle sprain. Again i think he's probably aiming at that Dec 1 game. More injuries are going to happen because its football. But at least right now its looking pretty good for a December/January run.
  22. Very true. Maybe I should rephrase and say he's worse in space. Just flat miserable. He was servicable enough at guard to at least not stand out like a sore thumb.
  23. If Mahomes has time to throw. You can't. Just way to much speed for anyone to handle. So its a full bore race to get to Mahomes before he can throw it.
