  1. We did a phenomenol job against the run vs Denver with Clark and without Jones. And then vise versa vs Minnesota. Clark is defintely a better run defender but those two together are what we need in sub packages more than anything as they are both versatile and can finish plays.
  2. Nnadi/Saunders/Pennel/Ivie really played well in the middle last week. Jones moved around which makes sense. Clark is also very versatile which could give Spags some real options if he can get healthy. Murray for Ogbah is right up there with Ehringer for Ward as examples of Veach selling nothing for something and the coaches making it pay off.
  3. The concern about Oakland is they have a great offensive line and like to pound the ball and control the clock like Indy did. They don't have however have Indy's defense and hopefully we won't be as banged up as we were in that game. I'd love it to be a big game atmosphere rather than some team sneaking in here we aren't emotionally charged up for like I feel bit us against the Colts
  4. We've played the most difficult home schedule in the NFL so far this year. Heck the Raiders game will likely represent six straight games against teams with winning records. When you factor this in with the major injury issues, I don't think home field has been impacted as much as people think. I mean we just beat one of the NFC favorites and the hottest QB in the NFL with a third string QB.
  5. I like the idea. I did see we have run more two tight end sets this year than most any team in the league. Bell isn't getting many throws his way so I'm assuming this is a pure blocking role. Gotta help Erving. He's just not very good in space.
  6. Witht those two knee surgeries he's probably not as mobile as Alex was here. But a better deep thrower. Probably different style with a lot of the same results. Heck Matt Moore just proved that.
  7. It's time. He's running around with as much mobiliy as I've seen since the week 1 ankle injury. Yes there is always risk of the knee dislocating again but multiple doctors have green lighted this and it's time to get him out there. Somebody tell Cameron Erving he better flat lay his football life on the line out there to protect him though!
  8. If we have to count on below .500 teams winning multiple games against them we may be in trouble though. They play a lot like the Colts and control clock behind a really good oline. But they aren’t dynamic anywhere.
  9. Another way to look at it is 10 wins including a win over Oakland wins this division.
  10. Raiders play two games now against teams with a combined 1-15 record. Very likely they come to Arrowhead 8-5 in what will be one of the few big time games between these historic rivals in decades.
  11. That shootout game is coming. Just the nature of the NFL and the reality somebody will exploit our weaknesses the right way at some point. But it will be an outlier rather than the norm. And that's big. You need to be able to win in January with different types of games. We are moving closer to having that ability. The D is clearly a more competent group thats much better coached.
  12. Another great point; here. Arrowhead is clearly a destination spot for opposing fans and the Packers/Vikings both have fans that travel and many who are only 4-5 hours from Kansas City. Natural spot to pay big money for tickets. And off a Sunday night game the Vikes game was a natural spot for a Chiefs season ticket holder to get some cash back and perhaps use it to go to Nashville this weekend.
  13. Agree with this. Simply making point he’s been an upgrade from Mariota because he can actually get the ball downfield. After two knee surgeries though he’s not the same mobile QB that was drafted top ten in 2012. That can help us with pressure.
  14. Tannehill doesn’t have Mariotas mobility but he’s a superior passer, especially downfield averaging a full YPA better than Marcus. He’s been over 300 yards twice on his last three weeks with 6 TD passes while Mariota only did it once in 6 starts. This move was made to jump start passing game. Keys off play action where Mariota simply couldn’t beat one on one coverage enough with his inaccurate arm. Tannehill can beat you there. Just gotta keep doing what we have been and keeping the QBa uncomfortable.
  15. Mariota was benched weeks ago but either way have you ever heard of a full participant in practice all week not playing? Not sure, but it would seem odd. I
  16. Our injury list is actually getting smaller. A good sign. Then again the Vikings came here with nobody hurt and still left with an L.
  17. Seems like Mahomes is getting more legit time with the 1s as they move toward putting the MVP back under center. Full participant today. Have you ever seen a full participant all week not play?
  18. All good points. And if a season ticket holder can get some relief for having to pay full price for preseason games and do it easily and without risk online. Who can blame them. And Mahomes didn’t play. I talked to Vikings fans who came here and paid big money to see him.
  19. I think Fish is still very much in the timeline they talked about originally. If he’s not back practicing after the bye week I’ll be surprised and concerned. Still have no clue what type of neck issue Frank is dealing with?
  20. Funny thing is he said the exact same thing about Fisher. I haven’t heard what the neck issue is but apparently he’s played all season with it. Strain, spasms, something worse? I’m assuming since he’s practicing it’s 1 or 2.
  21. At the very least this scheme isn’t letting many of these QBs get comfortable. Cousins is a 70 percent passer who was under 50 percent on Sunday.
  22. Titans are converting 70 percent of their red zone trips into TDs. Second in the NFL. Obviously they don’t get their a ton but when they do they often get 7 points. Seems like a key matchup in this game.
  23. Spags seems to be figuring out what he has and at least taking away a few parts of the opposing offenses and generating a ton of pressure on the QB.
