  1. Spags actually did quite a bit of this in the second half after he lost three starters. And it created two big plays for the Honey Badger that kept us in the game. We are going to have to try and control the clock and play small ball to have a chance to beat Houston in my opinion. Especially since the MVP can't run again.
  2. Its not coincidental these weaknesses are being exposed while we are missing Tyreek Hill and Eric Fisher. This is just part of the ebb and flow of an NFL season. We didn't see any of it on offense last year because we never lost the trifecta of QB, LT, WR1 at any time. As long as we don't get the MVP seriously hurt and we get those other two back, I'm quite confident everything defenses have figured out won't be very effective anymore.
  3. With a competent defense Arrowhead becomes a factor. But without it we might as well play on the road. I'd much rather be relatively healthy headed into January than have the 1 seed and home field advantage. As such I really hope Andy doesn't rush players back this next two game stretch. I'm not completely against the idea of starting the backup QB if we can't protect the MVP and he can't protect himself with that bum ankle.
  4. The NFL is a game of adjustments and nobody is better at it than Andy on the offensive side. Problem is the Oline is just getting crushed which will destroy any game plan.
  5. We did it 3-4 times in 2017. Just never in the Mahomes era.
  6. Reality check here is we have two more games in the next 11 days which couldn't have come at a worse time. We are staring at the very real possibility of being 4-3 in 11 days if we are missing all the players we did in the second half and don't play with more discipline. But the last thing I want to do is start rushing people back. I hope Andy can come up with a good plan and we can pick off a win in this string and then start bringing back starters like Tyreek after the 10 day break. I'd rather sit a half speed Mahomes than get him killed behind a makeshift line but hopefully again Andy can come up with a better plan to protect him.
  7. Our backups are getting exposed would be the most accurate statement in my opinion. So far the next man up theory has only held water at WR until teams started playing man against them. Everywhere else the backups have stunk it up. Erving is a trainwreck.
  8. Arrowhead home field advantage is not a myth. But you need defense to capitalize on it because home field doesn't help the offense at all other than being quite when we have the ball.
  9. Reality is the offense had six straight empty possessions last night. Any resemblance to our normal offense and we win every single time only giving up 19 points brutal rush defense and all. The D was banged up by I thought they competed smarter than the banged up offense. Spags dialed up some nice blitzes at opportune times to keep us in it.
  10. Backup WRs, very gimpy MVP, backups at both left offensive line positions. This is nuts.
  11. Defense may not be very good but they are battling their asses off with a lot of backups.
  12. Yep. We should fire Andy Reid and Dave Toub as well. Release Pat Mahomes. The freakin gimp can’t even walk around normally.
  13. This is as decimated by injury as I can ever remember us being.
  14. Clark is doing a great job of setting the edge on his side. As Tim Grunhard said in his film review we are indeed getting gashed inside with players not keeping their GAP responsiblity. When they do, we are solid. That is both encouraging and discouraging at the same time to me. LOL
  15. I still like our rotation there and think it has some very tangible upside. I don't see that at corner where we've got a bunch of journeymen types. I'm not opposed to a LB though!
  16. These are two banged up teams going at it but with one big difference. Mahomes. As long as the MVP does his regular thing it should be a double digit win. Especially if we can keep TY from a big game. I never take games for granted though because this isn’t college football.
  17. Jason LaConfora article says Elway getting very close to signing off on fire sale and actually has the Chiefs as one of the teams interested., Begs the question if Elway would actually be interested in trading with us. Chris Harris would be a clear target if so. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/broncos-moving-closer-to-fire-sale-and-even-von-miller-could-be-moved-before-deadline/amp/?u=https-3A
  18. Darius Leonard is the cornerstone of that defense and they aren’t the same without him. Looks like Hilton will play and he’s a stud we need to account for. But much easier if Mack doesn’t play. Banged up at WR or not we should handle the Colts unless we lay a complete egg.
  19. With Allen released it does open the door for one of the younger linemen to be active. Agree with a prior post that somebody must be flashing on the practice field.
  20. I’m saying he wouldn’t have seen the field with a 50 point lead because he was inactive. Which by the way is yet another reason the inactive list is completely pointless.
  21. Seriously? If a player isn’t high enough on the depth chart to be active 4 games into his career you are asking why have him on the team at all? . Maybe we should ask 6 time Pro Bowler Brian Waters this question. Believe me if Allgretti doesn’t show any potential on the practice field he won’t be here long, active or otherwise. But you also don’t throw players who aren’t ready YET to the wolves especially when his job is to protect the MVP.
  22. We could be up by 50 and you still wouldn’t have seen Alligretti.
  23. It’s been a big turnaround in 2019 for #Chiefs ED Emmanuel Ogbah 2018 • 58.9 Grade • 6.25% Pressure • 3.7 Pass Rushing Productivity (58th of 58) 2019 • 77.1 Grade • 16.5% Pressure • 10.4 Pass Rushing Productivity (T-7th of 63)
  24. I thought about 2014 when before I typed that. But with Dewayne Bowe healthy all season they still had more proven production in any week than this group will if Watkins doesn't play. The career high numbers for players playing on Sunday night would be 22 catches for 288 yards. That said Robinson in fact is probably near or above the actual level of Bowe in 2014. Expect Deon Yelder to have 6-8 catches if healthy in this scenario. All said, I'll bet Watkins plays.
