  1. I expect when you are standing flat footed literally waiting for a wounded duck pass on 4th down for that corner to be able to knock the ball down. That was inexcusable. The game should have been over right there A lot of what you do on D vs Jackson is contain. They had open WRs all game but their QB just wasn’t accurate. All that said when you have a 30-7 lead in the 4th quarter it’ll skew the stats. But you are right a better pass rush finishes that game way earlier.
  2. We’ve got to be better vs run but when you get up big, it’s going to open up running game. And a high level corner will let you use a safety more there. Plus the reality is we’ve faced 3 very average passing teams. Stafford is our first test in that regard
  3. I feel like we would have scored 40-50 points had Andy not gone into milk the clock mode. Run defense was disappointing although again getting up Big was part of that. Good to see us get running game going with the backups Being at the game it was hard to evaluate Erving, but sure looked like the MVP had all day back there Jacksons overall is a handful but he looks like an average passer. They will struggle playing from behind with his accuracy issues.
  4. Waking up this morning there’s already a back edge to the storms about 90 miles away. Game itself could be quite a bit better than it looked last night. Especially second half.
  5. Just got back from an outdoor concert with perfect weather which means this front slowed down. It’s gonna very likely be awful playing conditions.
  6. If it rains during the game as hard as they say then it could really impact the passing games. Probably not in our best interest but I do have more faith the MVP can deliver passes in the rain better than Jackson. In fact his fumbling issues continued last week so maybe from that perspective it helps offset their advantage running the ball. I'll be there ready to get drunk and wet! Warm rain really isn't all that bad if you prepare as a fan though. Field conditions could easily get sloppy though fast.
  7. Double digit win if healthy. But we aren’t remotely healthy. Fact it’s still a 6.5 spread gives me more confidence although I think we are especially susceptible to upsets right now.
  8. I'm not sure who's actually worse, but I cannot remember a team every doing what Miami is. Can you? They are just going to rebuild around a few contracts and start over. It'll be interesting to see if it works and how long it takes. Or if they are just wasting their time. I mean we won a division title and still drafted the best QB in the NFL that same year. Think about that as everyone else tries to pull the Tank for Tua plan.
  9. Yep..the future HOFer can coach a little bit. Martindale on Andy Reid: "The offense he has in Kansas City, everybody steals from."
  10. He's definitely the real deal. Everything Lamar Jackson is with a better more accurate arm. He's just really small and I think he's gonna have a hard time with injuries.
  11. The Cardinals probably have the worst offensive line in football. So that does make sense.
  12. Beating Denver led some people to believe the Raiders are vastly improved. They are better and seem to be picking up Grudens concepts on offense. Seemed more disciplined. But talent level isn’t better than Arizona. In fact with the upgrade at QB, AZ has a better roster. Plus the whole Raiders team looked lost when Andy made adjustments Everyone’s better than Miami though. They’ve got legit shot at 0-16! Possibly the worst team in NFL history?
  13. Likely gonna have to find another far less expensive veteran if they think Fish will be our longer than that.
  14. He did just have a historic second quarter with Erving as his LT. Tim Grunhard said Andy adjusted blocking scheme to an Amoeba system as he called it. Simplified responsibility and kept the line in tighter formations. I wish it was readable text actually because it was interesting That said the Raiders defense and pass rush is bad.
  15. It’s crazy stupid! 16 million in Dead money to trade Fisher. He’s a good still young tackle under club control for three years. If he had a major injury and was out for the season, it might be panic time. That’s all this is. Fisher is only out 4-6 weeks. We’ve got a temporary problem at LT but a long term real problem at CB. That said Andy’s got his hands full short term protecting his QB. Don’t expect to see the wide open Chiefs offense except in short spurts for a while. We’re gonna have to try and grind out some wins. Keep the MVP upright. And get us to November where we can start dominating again.
  16. We have a 28 year old LT under contract for three more years by the way. And traded for Erving for this very reason. Allen can also play there. Not sure what you’re talking about? Being two deep with starters across the board?
  17. Guarantee me a Lombardi. I’ll do it too. But it doesn’t work that way. Injuries can realistically derail any season so any all in one year approach especially with a young elite QB isn’t smart. But at the same time our CAP situation with a cheap QB allows us to gamble more. It just can’t be unreasonable. This team can easily be better the next two years than this year. Any of which makes us a legit Super Bowl contender.
  18. Stephenson was terrible! If Erving is worse, we are in trouble the next month.
  19. He's only out 4-6 weeks. We suck it up and try to maneuver through it. No reason to make a major move. Corner is still the priority!
  20. That's not a disaster. Again the injuries are piling up big time on offense but so far we've got a legit shot to have everyone hurt back by early November. Problem is making sure the MVP doesn't get hurt with young RBs who may not be adept at picking up blitzes, a very questionable LT and a gimpy Mahomes. That's the scary thing now. We may lose a few games we wouldn't have during the period. But I'm not concerned about that. Its being ready for January.
  21. Its interesting. The Chiefs are really banged up on offense and the Ravens appear improved on offense but Kansas City is favored by a 1/2 point more this year than last year.
  22. I've seen nothing confirmed but Ive read that the recovery time from this is about 6-8 weeks. Big blow but again if we can get this team back to health by mid November, we can figure this out enough short term and be okay. If he's lost for the season or something, we have a problem. This weeks game is going to be a handful.
  23. I’ll be surprised if Chris Jones isn’t extended during the season from what I’m hearing. They want him here and he wants to be here. One of the main things coming out of Arrowhead today about Ramsey is we would likely pass unless he drops demand for new contract. We are set to pay a corner through 2021. But not beyond. It’s why we need draft picks and Veach to hit on them.
  24. Nice job tracking the ball behind him a bit by Mecole as well.
