  1. He goes out and has a 1300 yard, 15 TD season we won’t have to cut him. We will be able to trade him!
  2. Smith was a career loser until he got to Andy too. Has Andy ever not gotten one of his QBs who played at least half the season to the playoffs? Not sure but he’s so good with QBs it wouldn’t surprise me. Are you saying our roster isn’t very good? Or that our backup QBs suck?
  3. With Moore you are probably right. But this is a very good overall roster with three top 100 players on each side of the ball. I’m pretty confident Henne could have won 10 games playing around this crew. Andy’s averaging 11 wins a season here with multiple QBs.
  4. Hell right Andy counts. There’s no doubt since the day he got here this his “vote” outweighs all others. I’m sure Veach watched last years game film and chimed in his opinion.
  5. Lol. You are correct. I just can’t believe he got anything.
  6. The player we got was a 2018 third rounder. Sorry. I could have been a little clearer.
  7. I agree until proven otherwise. This had to be all Andy. That said his oline last year was a train wreck. So maybe we can get more than it seems. I’m skeptical
  8. We get the Texans 2018 3rd round pick Martinas Rankin. Likely a guard but can play anywhere on oline. Apology if previously reported.
  9. Likely losses. at NE, at Denver Toss ups LAC twice, at Chi We should win but turnovers or sloppy play could very realistically beat us at Tenn, at Jax, Balt, Minn We win the other 7 with relatively good play. So let’s say we lay one egg somewhere that leaves baseline of 6 wins. If we can win half the above games we are at 10.5 II think 10-11 wins. 11 wins West and gets 2 seed. I think we will be very dangerous in Jan regardless so let’s just make sure we get there.
  10. We are so good at QB now that a Super Bowl through the wild card is legitimately possible.
  11. It’s a soft CAP that can clearly be manipulated when needed. And if 1 player can potentially put you over the top for a Lombardi, I’d say it’s needed. Key is not to bury yourself with inflexible long term contracts like Dorsey did.
  12. I'll say it again. If the Cardinals would trade us Peterson for reasonable compensation. We will have no problem paying him.
  13. Understand that. I was just making point that all of a sudden we had huge needs everywhere which made corner get in line so to speak. All things being equal I think it’s likely our first rounder would have been Greedy Williams or Rock Sin.
  14. How could you have known we’d release Justin Houston and Eric Berry and then trade Dee Ford. That whole deal reshuffled the deck. Still it’s pretty clear Veach was hoping one of the corners that went early in round 2 would have dropped further. And then the Tyreek debacle. Veach has his hands full.
  15. It’s a good corner class. Ive seen some early mocks with as many as 8 possible first round grades for corners.
  16. Agree pretty much with all this. This story backs your theory up too with only Patrick Peterson and Chris Harris being 28 or older on the top ten corner list. Corners hit a wall fast especially in an era where you can’t get your hands on corners like James Hasty and Ty Law used to do https://www.google.com/amp/s/touchdownwire.usatoday.com/2019/06/04/the-nfls-11-best-outside-cornerbacks/amp/
  17. Agree. I think the suspension would help our cause. Also a consideration is that next year is a very deep and talented corner class. I’m not sure what it would take to get deal done. Gotta figure other teams would get heavily involved too IF this does emerge.
  18. He’s got two years left on his current deal. To me it’s plain stupid for Arizona not to trade him. They have no chance to compete this year and should be out of hope by the trade deadline minus a miracle rookie season by the Heisman winner. (I’m betting he has a good rookie year, but not enough to help that group)
  19. Good film review of Claiborne. Good and bad there as expected. https://www.arrowheadpride.com/2019/8/8/20792528/film-review-chiefs-cb-morris-claiborne
  20. Claiborne is a good flier on competitive depth with upside. Peterson is a problem solving elite CB that would force alot of teams away from him all together. Suspension doesn't mean anything to me other than cheaper compensation. I''m much more concerned with who we are in Dec/Jan than Sept/Oct. Just don't play our way out of the playoffs and that's all that matters.
  21. Chiefs beat writer Nate Taylor “Since last season, the Chiefs have been interested in acquiring Peterson via a trade with the Cardinals, who were asking for plenty back in compensation before the league’s Oct. 30 deadline,” Nate told me. “The Cardinals, however, according to multiple league sources, didn’t want to discuss a possible trade with the Chiefs before the NFL Draft last month. With Peterson’s suspension, it’s possible that the Chiefs could approach the Cardinals again, this time during training camp in August.”
