I think cover LB is the weakest position on the team but those types are hard to find. If the OU kid drops I’m all in there at 32. Otherwise you are right and our top two picks will ideally be CB and G/C

And now even after playing 162 games MLB ridiculously sees fit to expand its playoff field even more too. The difference is that nobody outside of their own market watches MLB, so the regular season has already lost tons of value if you aren’t a playoff contender. . Meanwhile as many people watch Noon regular season NFL games as they do the Final Four, MLB, NHL or NBA playoffs. The NFL owns American sports with the perfect blend of a meaningful regular season and great playoff format. They are simply getting greedy here looking at short term financial gain over potential long term damage.

We won the Super Bowl only 16 days ago. Last thing this team needs after playing 5 weeks longer than most everyone else is to get back to work. These guys deserve and need a break. Dorsey gave big extensions to Hali, Berry, Houston and LDT in two offseasons. I guess Houston was the best of the bunch and yet still so bad we had to release him. Nope. Your right 5-3 vs AFC South and those losses were clustered together around a banged up Mahomes/team. We’ve got no QB close to Mahomes level in the AFC and other than BB no coach better than Andy. It’s just an ideal scenario for sustained January success. All that said injuries can certainly derail anything as those South losses showed.

Mahomes is 12-1 vs AFC West, 5-0 vs AFC North, 5-4 vs AFC South (3-0 in postseason), 1-2 vs AFC East. The Patriots have pretty much been our only competition and we can see where they are heading. This conference is ours for the taking for the near future. Just need to avoid big injuries.

Westwood One has the full radio rights but share those rights with then flagship station for each team. So there’s three radio broadcasts. If you don’t live in KC, you got Westwood One.

Westwood One broadcasts the NFL radio broadcasts nationally. Kevin Harlan works for them. Mitch works for the Chiefs broadcast network with almost 100 affiliates in more than a dozen states. That’s where he’s always found.

Because he’s not a pass rusher I think we can reasonably get a deal done with him. But all it takes is one other team being willing to pay him to change that.

For upside and value Fuller is probably the best option to keep. But I think both he and Breeland can get Steven Nelson type money If we get a Jones deal done, neither may be reasonable affordable. In which case Fenton gets the slot and we draft a CB in the two rounds (seems likely regardless) and then try to find another Breeland type 1 year prove it deal. The injury to Thornhill and when they expect him back seems very important here too.

He played about half the snaps when Fuller was out. Then went back to playing very little until Thornhill got hurt and Fuller had to play a lot of safety. He was very solid for a late round rookie. But he was the 4th corner. If we sign Jones though who knows if any of the FA corners will be back. I do expect.a big haul of comp picks in 2021.

Fuller immediately got his starting position in the slot back when he returned from his broken thumb. So Spags doesn't agree with you. Plus Fuller can play safety. He's the guy I'd keep. And he's only 24.

I'll be very surprised if Ward ultimately doesn't get more than Breeland. But we don't have to deal with that one quite yet. Right now everything hinges on Jones.
