  1. Exactly. I don’t want there to be a “harm’s way.” I want him protected behind the best line in football. I’m tired of watching him run for his life after the pocket collapses. And switching Taylor to LT and plugging someone in at RT is the same makeshift move that has kept Pat running around just a half step ahead of oblivion for his career.
  2. From my expert seat here I see Niang and Kinnard as backups. A solid LT is still needed. Whatshisname is no longer available so I hope we move up to get one in the early-mid 1st round. There is no higher priority than keeping Pat healthy. No needs on defense or WR come close to being able to keep his jersey clean.
  3. Stephone Paige was an undrafted free agent. I never get tired of pointing that out.
  4. With visions of Pat limping around in the playoffs and SB, I say you pay the price to protect the franchise. Keeping the #15 uniform clean has to overweigh all other concerns. I would like to see Taylor at RT and a solid stud (Tunsil, Johnson, Jones, whoever) at LT. Whatever the price.
  5. Paige was the most underrated WR ever. Just outstanding. If he played on a good team he’d be in the HOF. Alexander had a couple of great years. I once had a cat I named after Carlos Carson.
  6. Juju was a good player and not easily replaced. Happy?
  7. Not comparing him to former Chiefs receivers. I’m talking about current NFL WRs. Middle of the pack.
  8. “Average” doesn’t mean bad. He’s a good WR. He’s middle of the pack. Replaceable.
  9. Ju Ju is average. That’s not bad. Dozens of WRs can do what he can. OBJ is average, as well. Not terrible, but due for an upgrade. But, I really wish we could have kept Saunders. I can’t complain. If I were GM the Chiefs would still have Curly Culp.
  10. Oh, you know Veach, Spags, Tuab and Big Red lurk here all day looking for advice.
  11. Watching Pat limp around may have affected Veach almost as much as it did us. Maybe he’s decided to protect the Franchise at all costs. “Good enough” won’t do. Maybe he wants to pay the price to assemble an offensive line for the ages.
  12. Marino had that line. All of them studs. He could drop back, take a nap, read a few chapters in a book, get a back rub from some cheerleaders, have a pizza delivered then casually look around for an open receiver. Pat deserves that kind of line.
  13. Put him at RT then move up and pick Johnson. A guy can dream.
