    In the 1980s I read an article that purported that if a defense can hold the opponent to 17 points, any team is almost unstoppable. I don’t remember the name of the publication but I remember the article was titled “Seventeen and You’re Mine.” It broke down a lot of stats and was aimed at gamblers betting on games.
