Yeah, that’s true. It also goes to my long standing point that the “greatest” is not necessarily the “best.” If the Chiefs had drafted him he may have wound up in the Ring of Honor, but nowhere near the HOF. He would have been forgotten as quickly as Carlos Carson, Stephone Paige and Henry Marshall.

I was a DT fan when he was at Alabama. When the Chiefs drafted him I was overjoyed. He was the most dynamic player they had in many years. His was the first jersey I ever purchased. I was and remain a huge fan. Yeah, he was an incredible pass rusher, and teams made a mistake if they thought they could run away from him because his pursuit was like nothing the NFL had ever seen. I watched him take over games and demolish good offensive lines. But, once offensive coordinators learned how to neutralize him, he began to disappear. He was often helpless against a stud LT and if the play was run at him, he was below average. My top four stands. The only change I would make would be to fit Buchanan into it somewhere.

Ghost of nightmares past. Snow might have become a good player if he had stayed off the moped. I’ll never forget the Chiefs cutting JT Smith and keeping Hancock. That one still makes me shake my head.

I’ve resigned myself to this being his last season in KC. He’s earned a head coaching job and as much as I hate to see him go, he’ll be on the sidelines for another team next year.

Yeah, I thought the same thing last night watching highlights of the game. Signing Bell was a stroke of genius or luck. The right guy at the right time, indeed.

Charles in his prime in this offense would be a nightmare for every DC in the league. But, he’s pretty banged up. He suffered knee injuries that would have ended most careers.

OL and a pass rusher. That’s really all they need.

No cable or satellite tv. I only break out the ota antenna to watch Chiefs games so I never see network tv, except the commercials during KC games. Just an observation: network tv blows. People actually watch this crap? Who?
