    I’m anticipating something like this. Steele. Perine. Hunt. No one running back replaces Pacheco. Welcome to the three headed hydra. Each has different strengths. It’s running back by committee with each being ready for specific plays that are designed for them specifically by field position and down and distance. I like this signing. The drafted Hunt for a reason. If he’s turned a maturity corner? Then Welcome back.

    I ran into a couple from Baltimore In Vegas in May. I told them the chiefs were not the better team and somehow won that game. It’s “kinda” true. But my next comment to her was, it all comes down to the quarterback. Mahomes is a quarterback. Lamar is a running back who can throw the ball. There’s a difference. There was no response to that.

    The only thing that doesn’t concern me about this game is that Andy Reid and his coaching staff have been game planning for this one since the freaking schedule was announced. I am sick of being wrong so far this offseason with almost every prediction and proclamation I have uttered. No prediction! Aw fuck it. Chiefs win. Pick your score. Go chiefs go

    Anyone here who thinks the Chiefs absolutely imploded with 2:09 left in the fourth quarter would be totally justified in thinking that. But who gives a rats? 4th string players who won’t make the 53 or even the practice squad blowing a meaningless game? I liked what I saw.

    This happens every time. One preseason game loss. Freak outs. It’s preseason. Who cares? Feel good about Steele and Cochrane. The starters will play more next week then not at all on the last preseason game. Good opportunity to see who stays. No injuries is the only thing we need care about.

    I’m thinking depth at guard with the next pick or a kick/punt return specialist. No way worthy is doing that now. Where else do the chiefs need depth after that? Or isn’t it BPA from here on out?

    Well it’s time to submit my facebook post that indicates a murky; but clear act of violence, if they don’t draft a LT to protect Mahomes in this draft. See what I did? I had to revise my initial threats of proposed violence to include the entirety of the 2024 draft at this point. Draft someone to protect Mahomes you rat bastard idiots.

    Well I guess drafting a wide receiver that can stretch the field in seconds is another way to “protect” Mahomes if he can get the ball out of hands quickly enough. Lots of good players left out there and the Chiefs always seem to draft well in the later rounds. We shall see.

    The current inactivity to either sign a free agent , or endorse a current player at left tackle, speaks volumes. They are drafting at least a couple offensive linemen. One of them is going to be someone they move up for. Let Veach and company do their thing in the latter rounds but this feels almost telegraphed with their free agent inactivity of late. LT is the first pick. IMO

    I agree that Kingsley Suamataia might not be the guy they have to draft if they wait until 32. For a first day starter they will have to trade up I should think. Nobody wants to hear that but the Chiefs do it all the time. Need to get into the teens to get a good one.

    The post is not all that funny. Although I meant it to be. Gotta get a franchise left tackle on his rookie contract with a fifth year option and make him a first day starter. Gotta protect Mahomes at all costs. That is everything. Nothing else matters.
