kcchief4lif 910
It appears the Chiefs will have to go back to the drawing board for their linebacker coaching position. ESPN’s Field Yates announced on Friday the Chiefs had intentions to hire Kentucky defensive coordinator Matt House to coach the linebackers. This report was premature as a University of Kentucky spokesperson has now announced that House will remain with the Wildcats as their defensive coordinator. It seems head coach Mark Stoops has convinced House to forego an opportunity in the NFL for what they’re building in Lexington. House was a great option for the Chiefs. He had previously worked with Steve Spagnuolo during his three seasons as head coach for the St. Louis Rams. House also had developed some great talent at the collegiate level like Aaron Donald and most recently linebacker Josh Allen. Their first choice was former Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce, but he chose to stay with Arizona State. Now, with their second option bailing, they’ll be hard-pressed to find another option. There are still several choices out there within the realm of familiarity. It’s also possible that they attempt to look outside of coaches that Spagnuolo has previously worked with. Another possibility is that Britt Reid could make a move to linebacker coach with the report that the Chiefs will hire former Patriots DL coach Brendan Daly. We’ll see where things go from here, but it certainly feels like the Chiefs missed out on a good one. http://chiefswire.usatoday.com/2019/02/09/report-matt-house-kansas-city-chiefs-kentucky-wildcats/?fbclid=IwAR3yrspVgbb6Y7Z-TuD73__7MKcFuMG3a1r0BQLzcwTebVI5BJ5-1F2z3zU

Thegoatee 1,785
Hard pressed to find another option? That is a bit sensationalized journalism. Someone is always looking for a new job...
xen 1,010,220
Bill Sheridan still out there. House would have been a home run but Sheridan is no slouch.
Balto 723
Again I don’t believe it. What is there a multi million dollar fine if he quits in his Kentucky contract? Doesn’t add up
