That's what everyone is saying but the proof is in the pudding. The AFC North did get stronger as a division though. Browns have a few things working against them though; how does Kitchens handle going from Qb coach to OC to HC in the same year? Sure got some weapons but how does all the egos match up?

Mayfield

OBJ

Jarvis Landry

Kareem Hunt                                                                                       One Football

Nick Chubb

Rashard Higgins

Antonio Callaway

Dont forget Harris!

I'm not sold on the Browns winning the North.  People are forgetting that Kitchens barely spent time as an OC and now he's the Head Coach and Mayfield is young and not immune to a slump.

Would wait and see what the Ravens and Steelers do in the draft before making declarations.

And finally, Dorsey looked great here picking early every round and gobs of cap.  Results got streaky when the space evaporated and they weren't getting tops.  Lets see if he can avoid the repeat.

If Baker doesn’t regresa they are gonna be explosive.   As of right now they have better playmakers across the board on O.  We obviously have the better qb but their D is a good bit better than ours as well.  They will be a tea to watch.

I think coaching will be the key for them. They seem to have all the tools in place to groom a young QB except for an established coach and they need to get rid of Harris. They'll surely be better than before but winning the north is more of a hype thing at this point.

If the the Browns and especially Mayfield become good, a Chiefs/ Browns rivalry could develop over the next several years complete with built in story lines the media will run with.

For me personally the Browns becoming good means the Tulsa TV market will choose showing the Browns over the Chiefs they aren't  the National game or prime time simply because of Mayfield and that's going to suck.

How about this guy?

The New York Daily News' Manish Mehta reports the Jets have interest in free agent CB Pierre Desir.

Desir, 28, had a breakout year with the Colts last season, similar to Rashaan Melvin the year before. Perhaps teams are a bit leery of Desir considering Melvin proved to be a product of the system after flopping in 2018 with the Raiders. Desir is long and rangy at 6'1/198 and was Pro Football Focus' No. 12 corner out of 123 qualifiers last year. He excelled in the Colts' zone scheme, so it would probably be ideal if he lands with another team that plays zone.

Or This Guy?

Redskins released ILB Zach Brown.

The move clears $5.75 million in cap room for the Redskins. Brown will turn 30 later this year but remains a productive off-ball linebacker. He graded out as Pro Football Focus' No. 3 inside linebacker out of 61 qualifiers last season, finishing behind only Luke Kuechly and Bobby Wagner. Washington tried to trade him but found no takers. Brown should find a new home relatively quickly. The Raiders reportedly have some interest.

Looove Desir. Good size, speed, etc. Really put it together last year.

The Record's Art Stapleton is "hearing rumors" the Browns may be "making a play" to try and get S Eric Berry from the Chiefs.

Stapleton is a Giants beat writer, so take this with a massive grain of salt. But the connection is there with GM John Dorsey knowing Berry from their time together in Kansas City, and Dorsey was the one who handed Berry his record-setting contract. Berry, though, is not the same player anymore after Achilles' issues and has played three games since the start of the 2017 campaign. The Chiefs are expected to rid themselves of Berry after signing Tyrann Mathieu.

Would be huge. Id take a 7th rounder to get that salary off the books.

Dennard, Darby or Breeland at CB.

Wright or Barrett or Ray at LB, Barrett or Ray can do DE role too

Ansah on  a prove it one year deal or 2 years with being able to be cut if nothing shows and no dead money on a team option  2nd year.

Kerry Hyder is a better fit in the 43 too and may be worth a try.

Well if he fails the physical there's no trade, and if he passes the physical we should be asking for more. 12 million dead money for a 7th doesn't look good at all.

It does if it gets all the dead money off the books this yr. And still frees up 4.5 mill.

But if he's healthy enough to be traded Berry will contribute much more than the 4.5 million. Not sure if Dorsey has any picks left but he should throw in a mid round pick.

We are in agreement here.

We should trade Berry to the Browns for Kareem Hunt. I think a guy like Hunt would fit well in our offence.
