The Chiefs have been preparing for Morse's departure for some time. They extended the contracts of two interior linemen, Cam Erving and Austin Reiter, during the season. Thegoatee 1,786
Morse is about as average as it comes and didn’t do much better than the backups. Can draft some guy in the late rounds to take over too.
ChiefsFoolFan 149
Mitch's concussion issues really scare me. I want the dude to retire. It would be awful to see Morse turn out like Mike Webster, may he RIP.

Problem was, he had issues with being able to stay on the field, and that made him expendable. Can't contribute if you are always on the injury list. FANATIC 852
Got the full numbers on the Mitch Morse deal with the #Bills and it’s a whopper: four years, $44.5 million with $26.5 million guaranteed. He gets $19.5M in Year 1 and $28.375M by Year 2. The $11.125M APY is the new bar for centers.

If he plays all 16 games next year I will be shocked. When you have multiple concussions I understand not only are you more susceptible to getting one but the effects take longer to wear off to the point they may never wear off. Scary stuff. I wish him well.

sith13 1,746
Great to see him get a big deal. With guys like Nelson and Conley out there we could have some nice picks coming in next year.

That seems to be the case for us but doesn't happen to teams like the Broncos or the Pats for some reason, so I'm still optimistic.
