The Steelers cut starting LB Jon Bostic.

Steelers released LB Jon Bostic.

Bostic started 14-of-16 games last season but played a modest 561 snaps, splitting time between the middle and weak-side. A pure run-stopper, he had a replacement-level year. Bostic's release comes after the Steelers drafted two inside linebackers, including Devin Bush at No. 10 overall.

Steelers signed LB Jon Bostic, formerly of the Colts, to a two-year contract.

Bostic started 14 games for Indy last year while earning PFF's No. 12 run-stopping grade among inside linebackers. He'll be tasked with replacing Ryan Shazier, who is still recovering from a serious spinal injury
