Post-draft 53

My best guess at the current 53.  Not much depth.  I’ve got all the draft picks making the team, which normally doesn’t happen.  Folks will rise/surprise but here’s how I see it now.  WR has gone from a strength to crazy-thin.

 

Dline (9): Clark, speaks, Okafor, Ogbah, Jones, Nnadi, Saunders, Williams, Tanoh or Hamilton 

LB (6): rags, Hitchens, dod, Wilson, attachou, Niemann, 

DB (10): ward, Fuller, Breeland, Smith, Fenton, HB, Thornhill, Watts,  Sorensen, Lucas

 

QB (2): mvpat, Henne

Oline (9): fisher, Schwartz, LDT, Irving, reiter, Mackenzie, Wiley, hunter, allagretti

RB (5): Sherman, Williams, Williams, Hyde, Thompson 

TE (3): Kelce, bell, yelder

WR (6): Watkins, drob, Hardman, Kemp, dieter, Pringle

 

ST (3): Colquitt, Winchester, Butker

Looks good but might as well take Watkins out cause zero chance he stays healthy.  Veach needs to trade fora WR ASAP

Williams and Sorensen will get cut.  That alone saves 6-7 millions and the guys they drafted will provide better play.    I also think James Williams will take Darrel Williams roster spot.   I think we will bring in another WR, CB and ILB before the season start to replace Ragland, Kemp and Fenton/Smith.

I'd take out DBs Sorenson and Fenton and add a late trade of FA at CB.  Gary Johnson gets a LB spot ahead on Niemann.  Chiefs acquire another TE and Yelder or Bell get cut.  Either Dieter or Kemp get released. Is X. Williams safe or can he be released without to much of a hit?  Veach isn't done dealing IMHO.  They still have to get the TE and CB covered.

You think Damien Williams will get cut?  Months after he signed an extension?  That would be shocking.

I'm guessing the cap space we have now will be spent to bring a couple FAs to KC. I'm pretty sure a trade is on the table but doubt teams are interested for established names right after the draft.

Chiefs always mention Sorenson  in conversations. Seems they like him.

Ah makes sense.  I think they still need depth at DT, so I'm not surprised they picked someone up.   I guess they could go with Hamilton instead of X.
