Let Chris play out this year and then franchise tag for a year. I like Chris and hope we get a long term deal done though. The man is hilarious. So it made no sense to mess with the cap until the signings were done since Jones is here for another year on a cheap deal that he must play out. I'm guessing they get it done once the cap is pretty much set so lessen the blow for future, which should be towards the TC.
