DieHard 2,061
Another ring of honor guy. Under rated for many years while he was racking up stats because we as fans had high expectations for more explosive plays. He finally got some love here for a few years before the injuries were too much. One of the best in franchise history. Even though he stood us up on the golf course. Troyofoc 361
At least he didn't go to the raiders saying he always wanted to play for them. (Charles). Derrick was a great chief player. Gave his all and leader, to me him and Tamba best fit that for me the last 10-12 years. Thanks Derrick.
xen 1,010,220
Can't bring up DJ without bringing up the fact that Arrowhead stepped on his injured leg at dinner. He says it was an accident, but then again he did spend years calling him an overpaid motherfucker. Boss should have never let AH in the room. West 6,714
for Arrowhead! LB Johnson to sign 1-day contract, retire as Chief 8:54 AM PTt KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Linebacker Derrick Johnson will be the next player to sign a one-day contract and retire as a member of the Kansas City Chiefs. Johnson said by text message he would sign the contract next week. Running back Jamaal Charles signed a one-day contract with the team on Wednesday so he could retire as a Chief. Johnson, 36, was the Chiefs' first-round draft pick in 2005 from Texas. He played 13 seasons with the team and was one of the NFL's top linebackers for much of that time. Johnson was selected to play in the Pro Bowl four times and was a first-team All-Pro in 2011. Johnson has 27.5 sacks and 14 interceptions for the Chiefs. The Chiefs released Johnson last March. Absolute class act and one of the best linebackers in Chiefs history. From a personal perspective my small gruop ran into him in an Austin bar about 7 years ago and once he realized we were Chiefs fans instantly bought us several rounds of drinks and chatted up his thoughts on everything Chiefs. This is a player who truly appreciated his talent and how lucky he was to get to play in the NFL.

A lot of people called Todd Haley totally inept, but DJ would have been a draft bust if it weren't for odd Todd benching him. Todd Haley is a fucking asshole to the max, but I think he was a tad underrated.

Most of the NFL wastes its time unless they're in Foxboro. Well no he's not even an Andy Reid, but was definitely above 1 Romeo Crennel or a Herm Edwards.
