He is suspended the first 6 weeks so how does he help? Also, wants new deal? Gotta save that cash for Clark and Mahomie

Waiting 6 weeks to get an elite corner is not remotely a big deal to a Super Bowl contender.  In fact it may help with the price. He's also under contract for two more seasons. Until we have to pay the MVP after the 2021 season, we have flexibility to do whatever we really need. Doesn't mean it will happen. But they have legitimately talked already so its not crazy out of left field as the Chiefs primary beat writer pointed out.

Offensively the TE's are a very talented group. 3 deep at that position with Mark Andrews and Haydon Hurst being really just very large WR's. Andrews and Jackson developed some chemistry last year. Drafting Hollywood Brown and Miles Boykin gave the WR position needed speed. Chris Moore is set to break out. Willie Sneed is a proven, trusted slot guy. RB is overflowing with talent- Gus Edwards is a fast, strong back, Mark Ingram is a nice addition and drafting Justice Hill (OK State) as a home run hitter. LJ will mature as a passer and with the threat of running, this only opens the passing game. Needs to improve his accuracy on throws outside the numbers. This offense is going to roll.

Defense- to quote Twain, “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” Losing Suggs, Smith, won't hurt the pass rush. Losing CJ mosely at LB won't hurt the LB, Earl Thomas is a severe upgrade over Weddle. Our secondary is probably the best in the NFL. No worries about the defense.

ST- have GOAT at kicker, top 5 punter and the LS is a a great one. All three have been together for 7 plus years.

Wow!  Looks like the Dirty Birds will go 19-0 this season.  Congrats.  ☺️

Didn't say it was crazy, just not feasible

Well, like the media is saying that Mahomes will "regress" when we know it won't, the Ravens won't either. Sort of like they read each others pages and twitter accounts to gather a narrative.

We are 26 million under the CAP, have a full allotment of draft picks and need for a player that's clearly not entirely happy he has to go through a rebuild. That's not feasible?  Now how much does Arizona want to trade P2 is the legit question. As is who else out there may be willing to give up more than we would.

Next year you have 16 mill available, and you have to pay Clark and Mahomes, escalators for vets kick in, etc......

Mahomes will get done but he has another year still on rookie deal. We also can make cuts as needed, see Watkins, that woukd free up huge amounts too.

We have Mahomes locked up through 2021 and the new CBA. I expect us to get a deal done after the 2020 season however I'm sure it will be structured so that it doesn't change his CAP hit in 2021 very much. We've got a three year window right now to win one or more Super Bowls before we will have to rework the roster around his big contract. How Veach drafts will be crucial to whether we are still a major contender in 2022. Also the new CBA could change some things and help us out there as well.
