Frank Clark has been fine.  If we had decent linebackers this would suddenly be a fairly good defense.  I do not miss Dee Ford and Houston at all.

Fanatic.....do you have a link? I'd like to look at players at other positions.

No he hasn't, shut up

The two guys I listen too who evaluate film say he’s been a beast the last month. Also has 4 sacks, 6 QB pressures and 6 TFL in his last 4 despite playing through this neck deal.  We need to find a way to get him as healthy as possible in January.

Yes. An unnatural hatred for Clark and Hitchens. There are worse players on D than those 2. But they seem to get the brunt of it.

Hitchens needs to stand out this weekend. He calls the shots on the field for the defense. I expect a lot of Sorenson on #28 White.

Don’t you think a guy making 100 million dollars and a lb paid to be a defensive leader should be held to higher standards than your average joe. Shouldn’t those type of players be expected to perform better than “just ok.”

He Hitchens deserves it

I guess. I wish he was better, but the fact is he is the best LB on the team. Clark is the best DE on the team now that Ogbah is gone. Do they both need to play better? Yes. Should they both be on the field? Yes.

You what surprises me on the stats sheet anyway, is Nnadi. Nnadi has 41.

Nnadi had a couple dominate games but I didn’t think he had a great year overall. But you compare those 41 tackles to others... Chris Jones has 27. Aaron Donald has 38.

I know that stats aren’t everything, but tackling the guy with the ball is pretty damned important I would think.

I think Wilson is better than Hitchens and it isn't really close

I think our interior DTs have played well. Jones,  Nnadi, Saunders,  and pennel have been a pleasant surprise.  Which is confusing as to why Williams was designated to come back

They are about the same. Hitchens has a little more responsibility and a littl more production, but they are very similar players. Very similar limitations.

Its like saying Darrel is better than Damien and it it’s really close. They are both OK just OK. Any difference is insignificant IMO.

He’s been WAY better than just okay the last month. His CAP hit this year is 7 million. Next year we will need the last 4 games guy all season to justify contract and trade. Likewise we really need it in the playoffs this year too.

Hitchens was just a bad signing period. We paid for a 3 down versatile all around LB and it’s not who he is.

Clark is a proven young do everything 4-3 DE. Healthier he is, the more we see it.  Set edge in run game, get off blockers to make tackles and makes big plays in the backfield. He’s playing thru injuries this year. Just part of the game.

HB is proving to to be solid signing. Okafor the same. Ogbah a nice trade. Veach has been far from perfect. And when you give up as much as he did for Clark, it’s certainly worthy of scrutiny.  But he’s been solid and improving each year.

Clark flashed his potential in recent games.

Hitchens IMO is simply not good. He hesitates, and has rarely made a tackle in the backfield.

I don't think he plays on 3rd down either.

I think Hitchens is very solid vs the run but he’s limited and when asked to do too much it impacts him there too. A Sorenson type being paid like Bobby Wagner
