It's a wash.  He also makes other Offenses one-dimensional in a lot of games, which makes things easier

It’s not a wash when we consistently get big leads on our opponents as we have with the MVP.  Leads to soft zones and prevent defense 101 skewing the overall yardage numbers. Now it certainly does lead to overstating how good our pass rush really is though. So again just depends on which stat you want to look at.

 In just 8 drives this year we have allowed 7.24 YPC or 51% of their rushing total. The other 80% of the drives? 4.5 YPC.

This defense especially vs the run is improving  it’s just not easy to see all the time as we struggle with gap responsibility and learning the new system. But I can see tangible progress in those numbers.  Not enough!  But progression.

We need to get better coming out if the gate. That first quarter we dig ourselves into a whole the last 3 games. Hell, i bet without the slow starts our stats would look a lot better.
