One was stopped because of a horrid officiating crew and the other because of horrid play calling (the last one). However, the truth is there is a serious lack of talent in the front 7. It’s not even close the first 6 games. Reminds me a lot of the Greg Robinson defenses of the Vermiel era. There no coaching or scheme that’s going to be able to fix that defect. Most of these DL or LBs would have trouble starting or making other teams in the NFL....Sorry folks - barring a miracle trade for some DL & LBs we’re cooked. Our defense is soft but they played 40 minutes. They would have been too gassed to get a stop regardless. Mahomes int wiped points off the board and then we stop them only to give it back right before half and they score. Had we eliminated careless errors we would have been in a position that the Texans would have had to abandon the run but because Andy got all cute with his play calling we gifted the Texans points. This franchise has an obligation to assemble a balanced team, and they don’t no one can’t fault him for chasing a ring with a more responsible franchise. That starts at the top with Clark Hunt. If there isn’t progress (soon) CH will be faced with some tough decisions. We can rid ourselves of shitty players, but if the same (flawed) GM remains in charge of talent evaluation then expect the same shitty investments next year & the year beyond. And BTW, Reid had input into personal decisions in Philly & what kind of defenders did they have? Carols Hyde just ran all over this front-7 & looked like a hall of fame RB. Lead KC to many championships and retire a Chief. Im not a superbowl or bust guy. I said 10-6 this year , KC a wild card and with KC going to the superbowl. If they dont its not that big a deal.
