Makes sense with only two backs healthy. Ware could fill in in an emergency. He knows the offense and is good at pass blocking.

I like Spencer Ware. Always have liked his running style. He’s a power back. His expected salary and injury history were probably the only real things that kept him from staying on the Chiefs.
