oldtimer 8,686
The Cleveland Browns are wiping the slate clean... again. Just two days after firing head coach Freddie Kitchens after a single season, the Browns are reportedly firing general manager John Dorsey. Adam Schefter ✔@AdamSchefter John Dorsey is out as the Browns’ GM, per source. Two sides couldn’t come to an agreement on a future re-structure of the organization. 5,774 1:22 PM - Dec 31, 2019 Twitter Ads info and privacy 2,583 people are talking about this Dorsey has been with the Browns since 2017. He still has two years left on his contract, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, and the Browns will have to pay that out. Looking at the head coaching landscape the candidates the Browns hope to attract, it’s not a surprise that they’ve once again fired their GM in an attempt to reset their organization and find a path to success. But a team can only do that so many times before resetting (aka firing everyone) is the only thing they know how to do. Dorsey is the sixth GM (or de facto GM) the Browns have employed in the past decade, and all but one was fired.
SEMO 6,811
It usually takes 3-5 years after starting from scratch to win. This is another example of the inept ownership in that organization. They don't give any regime time to work their plan, right or wrong. As far as Dorsey, he must just rub people the wrong way.

ATLchief 3,126
Hey, at least he left the Browns with some soul-crushing contracts to deal with. 😆 SEMO and oldtimer 1
liquidfriend 1,151
This is a mixed bag. Dorsey isn't the guy that's going to build you a long term winner and Kitchens was fucking garbage and there are better GM's out there. On the flipside, this is the Browns we're talking about here and they're probably about to do something beyond stupid like hire Scott Pissholi.
