yea I guess without Brady/Patriot the Texicans are really the only other quality choice..would be a good kick off with the new LV Raiders tho,  since they got screwed on the draft and all

Worst kept secret of the year.  The Texans have been talked about for weeks on several sites including Locked-In.  Makes sense since all the great match up are on the road.  Who wants to see a match up between the Chiefs and Falcons or Panthers.  NE was the only other possibility and without Brady, who cares?

Clayton must not be in the know as much anymore cause he said yesterday first 4 weeks of the schedule would be all AFC vs NFC matchups due to covid.

Maybe Opening game is a little different rules

At least this gets our Thursday night game out of the way right?

I don't know if any teams gets 2 in a season, may be the Thanksgiving teams but other than that we should be fine in 2020. Season opener is definitely the only Thursday night game worth playing.

The reasoning behind it was if games get cancelled then it’s the least important games at the beginning of the season vs later game’s that carry more significance.

i think chances are it’s the Texans but it’s not going to surprise me if it’s something different  as well considering the circumstances.  Holthus put on his Twitter feed their is  something unprecedented coming and made it seem as if  it was concerning the schedule since he mentioned the schedule in the same tweet and it’s Mitch he would hype a change in the flavor of Gatorade so who knows.

If there's 17 Thurs. games and 32 teams, at least two have to play twice.

I believe they only play 15 thursday night games. Weeks 16 and 17 they dont play them for competitive reasons. Cant have a team play on Thursday and wrap up a spot and then ither trams would play scrubs etc.

Rapid analysis

For the second season in a row, the Chiefs have the maximum of five scheduled primetime games. They will have an opportunity to get one more primetime game before the end of the season via flex. All five of the Chiefs primetime games fall within the first 13 weeks of the season. The Chiefs only have six Noon games on their schedule, a reflection of having one of the best players in the game in Patrick Mahomes and being the reigning Super Bowl champions.

Chiefs preseason schedule

We will post the Chiefs’ preseason games here as soon as we have it.

Strength of schedule

The Chiefs play the 18th-toughest schedule in the league in 2020, according to CBS Sports
