The Kansas City Chiefs could have two games delayed as a result of COVID-19 before we get through the first half of the season.

After another player for the Tennessee Titans tested positive for COVID-19, the NFL is scrambling to try and find a way for the Titans and Buffalo Bills to play their Week 5 game. According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, one option that has been relayed to both Bills and Titans players is that their Week 5 game, scheduled for Sunday, would be moved to Monday or Tuesday night.

As a result of that delay, the Week 6 “Thursday Night Football” game between the Chiefs and the Bills would be moved to Saturday.

Right now, all options are on the table for the NFL and it seems like moving the Chiefs vs. Bills game might be the most logical choice. The Titans don’t have any remaining bye weeks after the postponement of last week’s game with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

What’s abundantly clear is that the NFL is intent on having Tennessee and Buffalo play their Week 5 game. That determination by the league is good for Kansas City too. If the Week 5 game between the Bills and Titans were canceled, they’d see the Bills off a bye week on Thursday night, playing three games in 11 days.

Obviously, the NFL still is at the will of the virus on this one. They need the Titans to have consecutive days without positive test results before they’re allowed to reopen their facilities for practice. The key here will be to monitor the test results for Tennessee over the next two days.

The Titans should have to forfeit in my opinion but like you said Wolfscall, that gives Buffalo a huge and unfair advantage.  Also, in that case, the Bills players wouldn't earn a paycheck.   I hope they take the Titans first-round pick for the crap they plulled.

The Bills and Chiefs' Week 6 Thursday Night Football game will be moved to Sunday October 18.

That is because the Bills' Week 5 Sunday game against the Titans is being moved to Tuesday 10/13. In theory, it's not a big deal for the Bills since they were already planning for a short-week Week 6 tilt, but the Chiefs now get a full week of rest. That is not nothing in the battle for the AFC's No. 1 seed. All of this is contingent on no more positive COVID-19 tests for the Titans.

Madden is garbage. It is all animation driven outcomes. EA just wants people to purchase digital Pokemon cards to build their “ultimate” team.

This.

That's the nfl's fault.  When EA got the exclusive contract for team and player rights, madden went to total shit with no competition.

Madden really is crap nowadays.  It's sluggish, boring and franchise mode is total ass.

It's a pure cash grab now.

EA Sports can go rot in hell for what they did to that game.

EA is huge and has the money to overpay for exclusive rights to the NFL. NFL doesn't care if we have fun or not as long as they get the big bucks. As long as EA is profiting from the game we probably won't see any changes.

Bills at TN on a Tuesday coming back on a short week to play the Chiefs at home... Wow, the tables have turned.

Isn't there still a good chance this all goes out the window?  If more Titans test positive in the next two days, this could all go out the window.  The Bills would get an unscheduled bye and the Chiefs would go back to the short week.  The NFL should just stick with moving the Chiefs' game to Sunday and see later if the Bills/Titans game happens before then.

I agree we should be pushed to Sunday and whatever happens between Bills/Titans should go on as previously scheduled or postponed. No need to hold all teams hostage waiting for a single positive test. Scheduling practice and rest days must be very tough under these circumstances.
