Well any defender can double Hill and then Hardman, Pringle and Drob are going to have to get open.    Hardman is turning into a bad selection.

I had high hopes for hardman in this offense, but im kinda done, and I especially dont want him returning kicks, his poor decision making is going to cost us a game. Doubling hill and kelce and you can’t get open with 4.3 speed something is seriously wrong.

also, and i mention this every year, this crap of returning kickoffs from the endzone is almost a fireable offense for toub, he needs to make the message clear to kneel the thing and take the free yards with no risk of fumble or penalty

He definitely kicked ass in the run game.  Kilgore played well also.

I am anxious to see the pass pro grade

Mahomes didn't ever seem flustered... at least, as compared to the raiders game

hell last week I wore through a half-inch of carpet pacing back and forth worrying about patrick getting hit

today patrick was relaxed and focused

probably because all he did was hand it off

I wouldn’t worry about Hardman in this game. Shit even hills numbers were pedestrian. Did he run block effectively? That’s more what we should look at. He did drop a pass.
as far as kick offs. I agree with u. Take it at the 25. No penalties either.

With these upgrades on the interior, Rankin gettin healthier, Bell available next week, and Watkins back in a few weeks...good luck to the rest of the league.

and we've gotten through most of those teams on our schedule that we were counting as potential losses before the season started... Bal, Hou, Buff... and NO is looking mortal too of late.

we just gotta take care of business in division games starting next week... and especially on 11/22

I disagree with that at this point. Teams are keying in on him just like they are on Hill. Pringle and Drob played well tonight and that's what the Chiefs need.

They were not keying on him.  That’s the point.  He had a big opportunity and did nothing tonight.  Did he even get to the 25 once on kick returns either?

I'd have to watch the game again to be sure, I just assumed they were since he wasn't doing anything, just like Hill. Judging from what I've seen overall since he been here, I think he's a smart player, and don't agree it's a wasted pick. I think sometime you guys go overboard with your criticisms of players too soon.

Pass protection might be misleading as we didn't take many shots and shuffled players around quite a bit. However we should get some decent samples within a couple weeks.

The knock on Hardman is that they are not using him. Obviously Hill's situation had a major role in the selection as it should but kid still has talent that we are not utilizing. I was expecting to see more of him when Watkins went down but looks like they see him as more of a specialist type of player similar to DMC. I think lack of presence in the offense is a contributing to his stupid return decisions as every player wants to showcase their abilities.

Obviously it's a bad pick if we don't use the player, could have gotten some linemen for sure but that doesn't always mean the player is bad.

Ok, I can understand it from that standpoint.

I admit to getting stuck on players who do good things for the Chiefs at big moments. Hardman's return last year against the Texans really provided a spark in the playoffs.  He seems more like a big play guy like Dante Hall or Tyreek Hill in his early years.

I think it's going to be hard to replace Watkins because he's a better pure receiver than everyone on the team IMO. Having said that,  Pringle & Drob did well

I am excited anytime the Chiefs win. But not gonna get ahead of reality. It's just one game. It was played on a soggy, rainy day and the Bills look like a team that has some defensive issues. If we run all over Denver then I might start believing we have found the run game we all hoped we could have but until then...

Dont need to expect a run game like we saw last night, but one that will start to keep teams honest. If they continue to go light in the box, we need to make them pay for it. Also if they load it up, we know we have the passing game.

Pringle looks like a Sammy Watkins

Fair enough. We all know the recipe to temper the Chiefs offense....rush 4 (sometimes 3) and drop 7-8 in coverage. The run game should neutralize light boxes but gotta be effective with it and mostly we hadn't been. I am hopeful this new lineup gives us the balance we need. On to Denver.

It's cool that we have the best QB in the game and now a running game. Defenses now must think about that. I bet Andy brings a strong play action game early next week.

Not sure about the running game yet? The bills are simply not good against the run. One game does not prove much. Yes lets hope something miraculous is taking place. Lets see what Denver does.

I'm an optimist. Big holes were created with this line and Bell will be eligible. And don't forget Darrel Williams!!
