Biggjliv4 1,292
https://www.nfl.com/news/houston-texans-to-work-virtually-thursday-after-player-tests-positive-for-covid- Looks like a staff member tested positive. Explain to me how it's ok for a team to practice, but team meetings must be virtual? Apparently sweating on each other and full physical contact is much safer then sitting in a room together? Reasons I guess
xen 1,010,220
In both cases it was staff not players. There are tiers for which staff can have contact with players. Probably just precautions.

AFCWEST 1,238
CHRIS JONESDL, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Chiefs placed DT Chris Jones on the reserve/COVID-19 list. This is a big one. It is unknown if Jones is COVID positive or is being shut down after a high-risk contact, but either way, he is probably out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. If Jones is not positive, he could still suit up Sunday depending when his last negative test was. If Jones himself is positive, then the Chiefs could end up missing a host of other defensive linemen for Week 9 since they will have been in the closest contact with Jones. If there is good news, it's that the Chiefs are on bye in Week 10, so it is possible Jones ends up missing only one game. Stay tuned.

AFCWEST 1,238
CHRIS JONESDL, KANSAS CITY CHIEFS Chiefs DT Chris Jones (reserve/COVID-19) returned to practice. It means Jones cleared protocols after having close contact with a Chiefs staffer who tested positive. Jones should play in Sunday's game with the Panthers.
