Playoff Challengers

Recommended Posts

1. Indy - strong run game. Balanced offense. Rivers has all day behind that line. But he is Rivers and will gift a pick or 2.

2. Buffalo - just a solid team all around. Will take a perfect game from them.

3. Tenn. - great run game, can control the clock. - Defense sucks

4. Pitt. - has scared me at all this year. Still doesn't

Chiefs headed back to the Super Bowl

Steelers have been exposed so unless Big Ben has a monster game they aren't really contenders at this point, but he's the best QB out of the bunch and could impact any game. I think Bills are the best among all 4 in 2021 but right now they don't seem ready, still a tough game but Chiefs win that one. Titans looked to be better last year than this time around, I think we can handle them too but Henry can go off any time which is always a concern. Rivers is simply Rivers, he'll find a way to lose in the playoffs so not that big of a concern IMO. Houston looks like he was waiting to play in 4-3, I don't like him against Fisher as we could face quite a bit of issues there.

The Chiefs should be favored over any of them, but even with a 70% chance to win each game and a bye that figures out to about a 50/50 chance to make the SB.  Gttta be the best team and then hope they don't get burned with a bad luck stretch.

Cough hold on Fisher, cough offensive pass interference on TG, cough forward progress on a fumble by a qb,  so many to list

KC fans have a long and legit list of issues with officiating, but the absolute worst was the non-call in the Rams/Saints game two years ago.  So obvious and a certain game changer.  That's the kind of thing that could beat the Chiefs again.  Add in the tipped ball or bad bounce and it's a matter of luck to win the whole thing.  The Chiefs may be favored, but they aren't so dominate that they can overcome bad luck.

They have overcame slow starts, double digit leads,  3 int game last week etc. It may catch up to them like the Raiders game but even then they are always in it. Bad luck or not I think they win it again.

Browns, Titans, Colts are probably the teams to watch out for. Browns especially with Myles Garrett looking to sweep the legs, remove helmet, and thrash relentlessly. Even the Ravens could be tough if we don’t stop the run. Easy to say though that we only lose if the offense gets screwed up and doesn’t score. Cutesy running crap, holding penalties are the things that screw us up the most.

The only team that worries me is the freaking Titans....It's just something about them, not just Henry.

The Chiefs are still negotiating with the county health department over how many can attend the playoff games.  Looked like CLE had a fair percent of the seats occupied last night.

Is that enough or do they need some extra approvals afterwards? I imagine the county health department would be fine with social distancing making it like a 3rd of the capacity.

They allowed 17,000.

but if you were in a bar across the street, you had to leave it at 10pm. Stadium attendees stayed to end of game- makes zero sense.
