Ex chiefs coming back this Sunday.

When the Tennessee Titans take the field at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, several familiar faces will be on hand for longtime Chiefs fans. From DMC to the guy who was the Chiefs kicker less than a week ago, here's a look at those former Chiefs returning to Kansas City.

 

K Ryan Succop

 

The Chiefs had a difficult decision on their hands this preseason when it came to selecting their kicker. Rookie free agent Cairo Santos won the battle over the incumbent Succop, who had 80 regular season starts on his resume. The good news is that he quickly found a new home in Tennessee. For fans who thought Succop v. Santos was over, there's one more week left to play out.

 

RB Dexter McCluster

 

DMC needs no introduction for Chiefs fans. As one of several solid veterans allowed to walk this offseason, it might feel weird to see McCluster wearing blue in Arrowhead for the first time. The Titans certainly hope DMC can break through in a way he never did as predicted with KC, but even then, he'll be a nice complement for the offense from multiple positions. He's slated to work out of the backfield at this point with veteran Shonn Greene and rookie Bishop Sankey.

RB Jackie Battle

 

Battle's story is a great one as an unheralded player who has fought for and earned every inch of success he's received. He was originally signed by the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2007 and staved off competition every year to carve out a five-year career with the Chiefs. He finally got his first NFL starts the last two years with the San Diego Chargers and Tennessee Titans. Now in his second year with the Titans, he's got the right size (6'2, 240) and experience for his new role as starting fullback..

 

DT Ropati Pitoitua

 

Pitoitua played just one season with the Chiefs in 2012, but fans will likely remember him as an unexpected surprise starter along the defensive front with 10 starts in 15 games. They were his first NFL starts after two years with the Jets, and now Pitoitua is starting at defensive end for the Titans in their 4-3 base. Last season he had four sacks in 13 starts.

 

S Bernard Pollard

By now Pollard is a well-traveled, heavy-hitting safety, but he spent his first few years in the NFL with the Chiefs. From 2006-08, he played in 48 games for KC, who drafted him in the second round in 2006 out of Purdue. Pollard, who will turn 30 this season, will line up as the Titans starting strong safety when the team takes the field on Sunday.
