Disagree.  Build the line through the draft.  For the millionth time, OT in the first round, OC second day.  Two starters along with Niang and whoever comes back next year.  They may start roughly, but the Chiefs can't afford any top FA and they won't get better with linemen off the scrap heap.  .

We might have to pull the first round trigger on a WR.  Outside of Hill, we got nothing from that group.  Hill, shitty Hardman and Pringle are the only ones under contract for next year, and we need someone to help pull some attention from Hill and Kelce.  I think for the short term it's going to be easier to find help at LT via FA and receiver in the draft as opposed to the other way around.  I'm completely on board with gutting our line, but we still have to put the tools around him.  In an ideal world we would pull some deals and grab a second 1st round pick and address both of those and hit the ground running.

I think Antonio Calloway is intriguing.  He is signed to a futures contract.  Has made plays in the league and has elite speed.

Also Chad Williams. A fast guy with a bigger frame at 6'2".

And Taje Sharpe as well so is on practice squad.  A6'4" kid with great length.

Watkins,  Robinson,  Kemp,  and Deiter need to go.

I've always been a fan of drafting O line since the the DV Chiefs, and seeing how important it was & the difference it makes.  They've gotten away with not doing that for the past few years, but it caught up with them in this game.  They did try with Osemele ( thru FA) and Niang opted out so, at least they tried some.

The next gen stats are horrific. Mahomes was pressured 29 of 56 drop backs. 27 of the 29 were 4 or less rushers. The bucs only blitzed on 6 pass attempts. Mahomes ran nearly 500 yards from snap to sack/pass. All of those are historically bad, especially in a super bowl. None of these fat men deserve a roster spot.

yup complete dominance by the Bucs d line

.I just can't figure out why Reid went with the long routes and dropback passing game with this oline???

Was it his ego? Did he REALLY think that these scrubs would hold up with the gameplan he rolled into this game with?

And why didn't they switch up in the 2nd half to a quick pass gameplan??

I'm confused..

I think Reid left his heart and soul in KC.  He looked and acted like a guy that just wanted to go home.  No adjustments or anything it was pathetic.  Why didn't anyone speak up?  Did Reid just ignore them?

What could they do? I mean these guys were literally getting beat immediately off the snap. Our offense had no chance to succeed yesterday with this line.

Defensively our pass rush was inconsistent, Spags was less aggressive, and we had the usual void there at the second level where competent linebackers belong.

The special teams were just icing on the cake. A guy shanking 2 punts in 1 half? Seriously?

Bottom line is this team got absolutely obliterated at the LOS last night. Reid teams have always had trouble with extremely hard nosed, physical defenses because we are a finesse offense.

There's no excuses to be made. We got our asses handed to us. If this isn't an eye opener for Reid nothing will be.

Sign Cam Robinson. Should come at a decent price.  Is still young and has potential.  Could thrive in a better environment.

Draft Jackson Carman in the second round.  The LT from Clemson that will kick into guard

Let Durant and Rankin battle for the other guard. I hope Durant and his big ass wins.  He showed all in the Chargers game at RG.

LT- Robinson

LG- Carman

 C - Allegretti

RG- Durant

RT- Niang

Let Wanogho take over at LT. Talent isn't the issue. He can play. And has higher upside more than the majority of the guys drafted in 2019. I'm looking at him as a 2nd or 3rd round talent. He's raw, but who gives a shit?

If you can roll into Tampa with the worst tackle tandem in SB history, then there's no longer ANY valid excuse about why this guy or that guy can't watch Mahomes blindside.

I dont think they should cut Fisher and turn right back around and sink money into another "good not great" LT. Sign Corey Linsley at center. Sign Joe Thuney or Brandon Scherff at guard. Sign Taylor Moton or Trent Williams at tackle. If they are gonna spend money on the line...sign the best.

But honestly these big contracts are part of the reason our roster is so top heavy now. Thats why Veach is forced to sign a Mike Remmers to be our swing tackle to begin with. We have to get back to the very basics. Build through the draft and only spend to resign your own.

I don't think Robinson would be overly expensive.  And it would allow Tega-Wanogha to be the swing tackle.  Giving us a much better feel.

But this way we are bringing in 2 young talented kids to try and develop.  Rather than the BS we had this year.

I don't know if Fisher will be fully ready until late in the season.  I know they say he will be back by training camp but he still won't be 100%, especially mentally.

I'd rather have Trent Brown if he's willing to take a little less to get a ring.   Cam is really not good and its not uncommon for players to do this coming out of Bama.   Its like Saban gets the best out of most of them and there is a thought they have another gear/level but often times they have already peaked.  I think Cam is one of those.

27. He's also signed with another team the next 4 yrs. Mock offseasons are fun, but this is more like Madden. We are just arbitrarily picking players off other rosters and putting them on ours.

I didn't know he was under contract.  That's why I didn't mention him originally.

Although there is some tension with him and Gruden.

I agree that we just build this oline through the draft. No more $$$ FA, unless it's just a simple stop gap player. Build this oline with some young 3rd/4th round draft picks that specialize in Run blocking, and teach them to pass block..versus the other way.

Draft a pass rusher and a LBr in the first two rounds and LETS Roll with that. Rookies and all!

No more Frank Clarks, no more Anthony Hitchens and no more Sammy Watkins' types. If you wanna build and sustain a dynasty, it's starts and finishes with the draft.

You could give Mahomes Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Michael Thomas, and Julio Jones and he still wouldn't succeed behind yesterday's line.  FA isn't going to fix it either.  The Chiefs can't afford even one above average OT much less fix three or four positions.  Just draft the best LT at #31 and a starting OC in round three and live with the rookie mistakes.  Sure, they need another receiver.  They need a LB worse.  They need a edge rush specialist.  They need a second TE.  They need a safety and corner.  But all the skill players in the world won't help if the QB is running for his life on every down and the line can't block for a simple run between the tackles.  Schwartz probably isn't playing next year.  Fisher probably isn't playing next year or if he does, it won't be early in the season.  Gotta find starters in the draft; quality starters.

As the Bucs showed street FAs are enough as long as there's a decent line. FA WRs will be fighting each other to play in KC for 1-year vet minimum deals. Linemen are much harder to find and cost a lot more.

Besides any player that's not starting and contributing in year 1 will be a bust and we all know WRs don't do $hit with Reid for a while. No WR is worth more than a 4th for the Chiefs in any draft as long as Reid is here.

How old is Trent Brown?

Sorry fellas meant Trent Williams from the 49ers as a one year stopgap, thought there was rumors of him being cut.

Reality is there will be some quality OL available because of the reduced cap.   I'd imagine there are a few who would take a good bit less to play for a championship.
