Popular Post azchief21 5,278
Frank Clark needs to upgrade himself. Didn't seem to be "blood in the water" this year oldtimer, WarCry, qnet and 4 others 1 2
Balto 723
According to Peter King of NBC Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers "would be more interested" in Watt. CranjisMcbasketball 780
Does 5 sack jj watt actually upgrade anything? Again if he comes cheap for a ring then sure why not
Biggjliv4 1,292
JJ is a hall of famer, but at this point in his career with his injury history I see him best served as a pass rush specialist. Not sure he sees that yet though. artsy
Lamardirts 2,114
I would love to have him but some team on that list is going to be able to pay him more than we are and while it would be fun lining him up next to CJ I think its going to be a hard pass. I'd make him a solid offer, but I wouldn't over pay. We have too many urgent deficiencies to fill. It would be nice tho...Him and CJ on the interior with a good rookie DE screaming off the edge..(notice I didn't mention frank clark..)
kkuenn 3,598
Just a quick question for you all. We know Watt, but two other FA out there long in the tooth too, but good are Houston or Von Miller. We have other vet options out there as needed. Any thoughts on these two? Personally I would go Von Miller over Houston for my choice.

It seems that the Browns are favored

CranjisMcbasketball 780
Justin Houston is a vastly superior player to von miller in my opinion

Von has been injury free until last year. Has much better stats and plays with a non stop motor. I think opposite of Clark and with CJ he would be a wrecking ball. I would take Von all day because of his competitvenss and leadership. oldtimer

Houston is the smartest edge player ive ever seen, sniffing out screens, reverses, bootlegs, stuffs the run, and its a competent rusher
xen 1,010,220
If Von Miller is healthy i take him over Houston or JJ hands down. Houston still has only the one great year to his name. Everybody bitches about Clark but he and Houston are basically the same guy. JJ is quite literally on his last leg. oldtimer
qnet 1,150
While it would be nice to have Houston return to KC for one last run, I agree about taking Von miller over him. That's if the Chiefs can even afford to do so.

He should be able to get another decent contract even at his age and with the ACL. I just don't see him wanting to pay to get another ring. I was just comparing strictly as players but the cost likely puts Von put of our price range.

sith13 1,746
Houston at 32 years old sounds like a good matchup to me. Not sure if would come back due to being cut the last time around but if he wants a ring to an already rich career then it could make a lot of sense. He has been productive with the Colts as well.
