We all assume Jason and Travis want to play together.  You all realize they are different dudes.   Jason is the lunch pale guy and Kelce is the diva (without the drama).   Sometimes family don't do well together.  This is Travis's team and maybe playing together isn't the best for either.    Not saying I know this just a thought.

After listening to the arrowheadpride podcast they tracked out a path where we could get easily north of 30 million free in cap which is more than enough to grab a couple high end guys.  Why not grab a Trent Williams, Von Miller and a couple mid tier wr's like Josh Reynolds and Marvin Jones.     Draft a Tevin Jenkins in the first.

Williams, Jenkins, Allegretti, LDT/Rankins, Niang        That would be a nasty left side of the oline for sure.

Yea  they are nothing alike

Definitely be ok with him as a 1 yr plan as well. But at 36 he could be a guy who just falls off a cliff

Assuming he's completely healthy I would expect Mack to accept the vet minimum at this point to chase a ring before retirement. If that happens to be the case I think he would be cheaper to have around at a very low risk.

this could hurt the Von Miller dream

Von Miller's criminal investigation is complete, now in Douglas County D.A.'s hands

George Stoia, The Gazette (Colorado Springs, Colo.)

Tue, February 23, 2021, 10:51 PM

Feb. 23—A criminal investigation involving Broncos star outside linebacker Von Miller was complete and under review by the Douglas County District Attorney's Office, Parker police said Tuesday.

"The Parker Police Department has provided the results of its extensive investigation into the allegations against Von Miller to the 18th Judicial District, District Attorney's Office for review," the agency said in a statement.

Police and prosecutors didn't say when a decision on whether Miller should be charged would be made and released no details of the probe.

"A charging decision has not been made," Douglas County D.A. spokeswoman Vikki Migoya told The Gazette in a statement Tuesday. "There is no filed case and no further information is available at this time."

It was first reported that the eight-time Pro Bowl selectee and former Super Bowl MVP was under investigation Jan. 15, but police haven't said why Miller drew their attention.

Miller, 31, missed the 2020 season due to an ankle injury he suffered prior to the season. He is set to enter the final year of his contract.

Chiefs make sense as trade partner for Titans on 2020 first-round OT Isaiah Wilson

Charles Goldman
Chiefs Wire

The Tennessee Titans are destined for a split with a former first-round draft pick, Georgia OT Isaiah Wilson. The two have been trending this way after a tumultuous 2020 season and now there is even more evidence that the two parties plan to part ways. A new report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport says that the Titans are open to trading Wilson.

At face value, Wilson’s 2020 season makes him look untouchable. He had a number of off-the-field issues such as a DUI arrest, suspension and stint on the non-football injury list. He played a single game as a rookie and only for three total offensive snaps, largely due to his off-the-field problems.

Despite the ugliness of Wilson’s rookie year, the Kansas City Chiefs do make some sense as a trade partner. Beyond the very apparent need at the offensive tackle position, no team in the NFL has shown more willingness to take on so-called “reclamation projects” since Brett Veach took over as general manager. It has worked out for the Chiefs to varying degrees of success, with players like Reggie Ragland, Cam Erving, Emmanuel Ogbah, and Darron Lee all making some sort of contributions in Kansas City after they were acquired in a trade.

Specifically, in regards to Wilson, the Chiefs have some players on their roster who might have a direct line on the type of player and person that Wilson is and what he needs to succeed. Mecole Hardman and DeAndre Baker both played with Wilson at the University of Georgia.

Baker, of course, could even be considered the latest “reclamation project” taken on by the team. The former first-round draft pick signed to the Chiefs’ practice squad this past season. Baker was released by the Giants after he was charged in an alleged armed robbery. He was eventually cleared of those charges.

Now, just because the Titans are shopping Wilson, it doesn’t mean they’ll get anything for him. He certainly won’t net a high draft pick after his rookie year. At best, it feels like Tennessee is looking at a conditional draft pick situation where they’ll need to bet on a team’s ability to turn Wilson around in order to get anything in return. The only bit of leverage the Titans would seem to have in a trade is the fifth-year option attached to his rookie contract. The Titans could even end up releasing him, which would make him a bit tougher to acquire for Kansas City, but it certainly wouldn’t take him off the table.

All-in-all, I’d expect the Chiefs to do their homework on this one. If they feel like they can rein him in and get his career trajectory back on the right path, this could be a good match. If not, they’ll move onto other options.

I would give them a 6th even. Why? Because you have such high expectations and potential for a young first rounder. Losing a 6th would not hurt us at all. Then you can sign or draft to upgrade center.  This leaves us with Niang or him at LT if Schwartz comes back. If not Niang at RT and you still have this guy and others to try at LT. Just gives us options.

Don't see Titans trading him to KC no matter how bad they want him gone.  Probably rather release him than trade to KC

if they  are on the verge of cutting him I dont think the Titans value him  one lil bit and think he's a waste of air..which he probably is

Texans cut center Nick Martin; save $6.25 million in salary cap space

The Houston Texans announced Friday they have released starting center Nick Martin.

The move will cost the Texans $2.5 million in dead money against the salary cap, but saves the team $6.25 million.

Martin was due $8.75 million in 2021. The former 2016 second-round pick from Notre Dame missed only two games in his four seasons with the Texans.

The 27-year-old had a down year in 2020 as his bad snaps in December may have cost the Texans some games, although it is unfair to pin Houston’s disastrous 4-12 season entirely on those snaps. However, they were part of the mosaic of failure and missed opportunity that comprised Houston’s disappointing finish.

Martin was hoping to use the bad season in 2020 as motivation to turn the Texans around in 2021.

“There’s no doubt it’s motivation,” Martin told reporters on Jan. 4. “We’ve made the playoffs and we know we have the taste of playoffs and that’s the goal is to get back there and continue to win games. Not making it, it hurts. But it’s been, as everyone knows out there, an incredibly tough year. A year of, when you reflect, you learn a lot about yourself, about your teammates.

“One thing I’m so proud of this team is the way we fought. We easily could have packed it in weeks ago. We didn’t. We fought every game. We scratched, we clawed and obviously we didn’t get the outcome we wanted because at the end of the day people chalk it up wins and losses and that’s how you’re measured. But we definitely fought, and that’s just a testament to the guys in this locker room and on this team.”

Martin will have to continue the fight in another NFL city as the Texans continue to reshuffle their roster in attempt to have a fresh, optimistic start with general manager Nick Caserio and coach David Culley.

Good ole Spithood Siavii!

I agree it's not a great look. But guys this size with this athleticism are rare. He could be a monster at guard, imo.

That is what I was thinking.   Offer them a 6th or 7th and slot him in at LG.   But a kid drafted in the first round who can't stay out of trouble after a team invested millions in you is probably asking for trouble.   What a busted pick by the Titans.

Get him? Does he fit our system? The more we can fill in FA the better we can draft

This guy may come cheap. Now get Williams at LT, Scherff or Thuney at G, niang at RT and we should be good to go! Lol
