You’d think that Veach planned to get Thuney done EARLY so while Trent as his agents are taking calls the idea of playing next to one of the best guards in the NFL could only be a plus.  Right?

What Veach has done with contracts last year, setting it up this year and signings is nothing but amazing. If he gets Willams people will cry foul. Just because it will make them almost unstoppable. A 2nd TE and #2 WR if it is not Hardman and we can just go off at will.

Williams would be even a bigger move right now, no way they would get through that left side of the line. Don't know about the finances but the FA seems to have started around the NFL with a bigger splash than I expected but they sure didn't let both tackles leave with just hopes and dreams for #31.

Niang has hardly played for two years. He is a complete unknown. No spring practice NO Pre Season Practice Sure I hope he the next great thing. I doubt KC is counting on him to start this year. Putting anything but a proven player at RT makes no sense. Maybe he proves something this pre season but I dont think Veach will sit on HOPE.

I think the KC offense will look very different this year. I think it will be focused on CEH and his skills. I think it will look more like the TB offense with a line that gives Mahomes a chance to get the ball out quick and a line that can actually run block. Yes the Deep shots will be there just not depending on it.

Chiefs already have the best insight on Schwartz's health and considering his tweet regarding the dismissal his departure may have been something both parties agreed on. I'm pretty sure the trainers and coaches will be working with Niang shortly, assuming they aren't already doing that, and if he's not ready to take over Schwartz might come back without really testing the FA if the surgery was successful.

The K.C. Chiefs have re-signed running back Darrel Williams to a one-year contract worth up to a reported $2.13 million, per Kansas City Star reporter Herbie Teope. The move bolsters the backfield behind Clyde Edwards-Helaire and could signal a leap up the depth chart for Williams.

Williams has slowly but steadily worked his way up the team’s depth chart after signing with the Chiefs originally as an undrafted free agent after the 2018 NFL Draft. After serving as a backup at LSU, Williams earned a pro look from the Chiefs and not only made the team but played in six games as a rookie. From there, Williams has become more and more of a fixture in the backfield even as the Chiefs have made several other moves around him during his short tenure with the team.

We bringing back Taco

With the prospect of losing three defensive ends in free agency this offseason, the K.C. Chiefs have decided to slow the bleeding at the position by at least bringing back an intriguing flyer in Taco Charlton. NFL reporter Tom Pelissero notes that the team is bringing him back on (another) one year deal.

Charlton joined the Chiefs last season on an inexpensive one-year contract to help rehabilitate his stock on the open market and show what he can do as a pass rusher with a team in primetime as often as the Chiefs. Unfortunately after showing some initial promise, Charlton’s season ended prematurely with a fractured ankle after only seven games.

Signing Taco was a no brainer.  He's the only pass rusher opposite Clark and there's not much in FA.  Still expect the Chiefs to target a DE in the draft.  They were really thin at DE and Dana isn't a rush specialist.  Same with Darrel.  Even if Damien comes back strong, there's a place for Darrel.  Thompson is the odd man out but the Chiefs may keep him to fill the RB room.

4 year 80 million offer from SF to Williams. Is it about money or a ring? We will find out.

Papa says #49ers have a 4-$80M on table for @TrentW71 , no other details. Will have to come up to keep 71. Have to be creative, other teams (Indy) have more $ space and need as well.
